Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I am so sad the series ended. It was actually something the whole family could watch, which is unfortunately rare these days. My husband even enjoyed it. I hope they reconsider and bring it back. I don’t think it was advertised enough and got out there so people knew when and where to see it. I was looking forward to seeing what descision Olivia made. You left us hanging!
I am so disappointed to learn that CEDAR COVE has been dropped without an ending. I didn’t start watching until it came on Netflix, because my cable company only offered Hallmark on their more expensive packages.
If Hallmark doesn’t want to do another season on their channel, perhaps they could do as another fan suggested and finish the show up with a 2 hour special on Netflix or maybe even Amazon.
I’m sure the fans would appreciate that.
Yes, I too am extremely disappointed. There are so many unanswered questions. I feel we who truly followed the story line for 3 years deserve an ending to this series. It’s like reading a mystery book and the last pages are torn out and you can’t finish the story. Please finish the story for us loyal Hallmark Channel and Cedar Cove followers! Thank you!
I wish Hallmark would have continued “Cedar Cove” for a 4th season to tie up the loose ends and provide closure to the fans. Not doing so leads me to believe they have no feelings for, or loyalty to, their fan base. Hallmark’s not following through to an ending leaves me feeling betrayed.
Was extremely disappointed when I just found out that Season 4 of Cedar Cove has been cancelled! I’ve watched each episode from day 1 & also read all the books. Please bring back the series! I loved this story!

I Was wondering why Cedar Cove hadn’t started recording on my DVR yet this season. I just googled and am so saddened. This is beyond disappointing. This is my favorite series of all time. In a world with shows filled with trash, this was a beautiful escape. I can’t say enough about this series and the cast. This might be my biggest tv disappointment ever. Extremely disappointed that HALLMARK has cancelled my favorite TV show!!!! Cedar Cove was one of the few good shows that’s worth watching. I’ve watched all 3 seasons and was looking forward to finding out if Olivia chose Jack or Paul not to mention the story lines involving all my other favorite characters. Shame on Hallmark for leaving Cedar Cove fans with no closure for their favorite show!!!! The least you could do is return the show for1 more season to tie up the story lines!!!!
I am so disappointed. I have watched all three season and was addicted to it but then found out it was cancelled!!! Who cancels a show on a big ending and leaves the audience hanging. Please reconsider. This is not right Hallmark!!!
I agree with Carri. I really looked forward to Cedar Cove and When Calls the Heart.I think too much time lapses between seasons, and cliffhangers are no fun!
I would love the show to come back for 1 more season. The first 2 I had to download because my cable provider did not offer thevHallmark channel and finally in 2015 we got it and I was able to watch it full screen. Minimally a 2 hr finale would be nice.
You cancelled a great show, please bring it back! A ton of people I work with loved it. We need more good shows like this. Always felt good after watching it vs. so much violence and reality trash on other stations. Please tell me you’re making another Gourmet Detective also PLEASE!

So disappointed that you canceled Cedar Cove. I loved the show. Please bring it back so we can see what happens. It’s not fair to leave your fans hanging. If you can’t run it on your channel, run it on Netflix as a special.
I was SO sad to hear this series was cancelled!! I hated to see it end with leaving you hanging the way they did. You must at least return for one more season to tie up loose ends with all the relationships!! Please!!
