Despite the success of Criminal Minds, it looks like one of its spin-offs has failed to take hold. Recently, CBS revealed they’ve cancelled Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders after two seasons.
A crime procedural, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders revolves around the International Division of the FBI which investigates crimes and rescues Americans in peril abroad. The cast includes Gary Sinise, Alana De La Garza, Daniel Henney, Tyler James Williams, and Annie Funke.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders began with low ratings, and season two has dipped even further. So far, the season is averaging a 0.84 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.99 million viewers, making it one of CBS‘ lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season. It seems the network hasn’t found a successor to Criminal Minds just yet.
However, despite low ratings, the show does have a loyal-if-small fan base. When we asked viewers if they thought Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders should be renewed, 79% said “yes.” Sadly, the fate of the series is beyond their control.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders? Are you sad this CBS series won’t have a third season?
I wish CBS would uncancelled Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. Like NBC did with Timeless.
Bummer!
What to say??? Big Brother wins over all of us who are/were fans. I am sad and mad at CBS !! Why not cancel 2 Broke Girls – duh.
Please don’t cancel CMBB it’s a great show my family loves it. Please think again why do all the gpod shows get cancelled oh yeah that’s right you all survey the wrong age group.
There’s a little something called RATINGS! Maybe you’ve heard of them? CMBB’s ratings Weren’t very good. It didn’t help that they renewed Elementary. How many pathetically rated shows can you renew?:
LOVE THIS SHOW .. care less of all the reality shows
Love this series ..care less on the reality shows
Very unfortunate. Loved this Series. If I had any complaints, I would say they should have done that which, admittedly, would have taken some script-writing, cinematographic and, perhaps one or two less commercials magic to accomplish- put a bit more time in including the richness of the locales in which they filmed. While the rest of the series was an excellent procedural, its only fault was it was just that- another procedural. Could’ve used a good bit more local color as that was, after all, what set it apart from other procedurals. However, that would’ve taken either more time or… Read more »
This was a great show it deserves to be renewed.
I just can’t believe CBS would cancel a great show like this one! And keeps soooo many other really lousy shows. Wish it would be picked up by another network. This is more than disappointing, it’s disgusting!
They got rid of The Good Wife..best show on television..why should this be any different?
To Elisabeth: Code Black has been renewed for 3rd season. It’s not cancelled.
I am sad to see it go. Great cast of actors and great show.
its so sad for this news, i regreat so much all the actors and actress of CMBB missing me so much but i wishes them wonderful success in all their new projects,
I am greatly disappointed that CBS chose to cancel this series – it is a great show and this will prove to be a bad decision for CBS. I’ve seen some of the new nonsense shows they are hoping to grab hold, but can guarantee very few will make it through the first season. Bad move CBS.
This is very disappointing, that this has been canceled. But they are removing all of the best shows now, only to replace them with a lot of crap shows no one wants to watch. At this rate, I guess I can start watching movies instead of tv shows.
The premise of the show was excellent but actions and relevant dialogue did not seem to be coherent, and arduous to follow logically, very much unlike the NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles shows.
