canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

CSI: CBS Series Ending with Two Hour Movie

by Trevor Kimball, May 13, 2015

CSI TV show on CBS: canceled, no season 16The series was once CBS’ top-rated show but those days are long gone and it’s now time for the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation TV series to end. There won’t be a 16th season but there will be a conclusion.

Debuting in October 2000, CSI follows Las Vegas crime scene investigators as they try to solve bizarre cases. This season’s castmates are Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, David Berman, Elisabeth Hamois, and Jon Wellner.

While CBS is ending CSI as a series they are planning to wrap up the show with a two-hour movie. It will air on Sunday, September 27th, and feature several castmembers who have populated the series over its tenure — including original stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.

Danson, who’s been with the series since the 12th season, will then relocate and become a regular castmember on CSI: Cyber — the latest spin-off series that stars Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek.

What do you think? Are you sorry that CSI is ending? Will you be watching the finale movie?

Too bad you nuked CSI. It’s an original and was the best of all the CSIs.

Cancel Las Vegas?! And keep writing Cyber?! It’s so bad! Not even believable.

KEEP LAS VEGAS ON! OR Move the writers and the actors to Cyber. Both aren’t believable. Arquette and MacNicol are the only believable actors on the show…

This is one of my favorite shows that I look forward to watching every week. So disappointed and sorry that it’s ending. Cyber hasn’t been as good.

This is one of the greatest Tv series ever. I am 63 years young and i love tv – one of my vices. Wish these types of quality show would just go on forever. CSI cyber seems so cyber! Seems so unreal and non scientific.

Gil Grissom should not have left the team.

Why? Why do you hate CSI : Cyber so much you want to put in Danson, it is a sure killer of the rejuvenation of the CSI series. Leave him out of it!!

I am devastated. None of the other CSI franchise or spin offs had comparable writing, story lines or chemistry among actors. I will deeply miss this show. Had it been left on Thursdays, it would have sustained it’s following. It deserved one announced last season.

This is very upsetting news! I was looking forward to a new season. It was the original series of the CSI families and buy far the most exciting I thought. Through the seasons l was disappointed to see William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Paul Guilfoyle & Liz Vassey leave the show and during the finale closing episode of season 2015, the leaving of George Eads. I said that the character Nick Stokes leaving is going to kill off this show with no offence to Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, David Berman, Elizabeth Shue, Elizabeth Harnois, Jon Wellner or especially one of… Read more »

I have loved CSI since the beginning, I hate to see it go, but it is time. It has run it’s course. I really appreciated that the writers did not turn it into a soap opera which has ruined so many other shows. Loved it, sorry to see it go

I have loved CSI since the very beginning and will be sad to see it go!! Cyber is NO substitute for the original! CSI has had consistently better acting & story lines! No comparison…

Yes I’m sorry to see it go, I’ve watched it since is started and I hate to see it leave. If they didn’t have so many spin offs of the show, like CSI maimi, CSI cyber and whatever other ones they have had maybe it would have made it longer….. But I’m sure with William Petersen, and Marg Helgenberger leaving slowed the ratings down. Them 2 were great

I am sad to see it end but not surprised. With most all the original cast gone it isn’t really the same show. Ted Danson did a great job, I really thought he revived the show for the last couple years. I am glad to see him move on to CSI:Cyber, I think it is well done & I really enjoy it. CSI had a great run, 15 seasons is quite a success story. With the departure of George Eads I think there was nothing left to do but say good-bye. I am thrilled that they will be doing a… Read more »

Loved the show, really hate to see it end. CSI Cyber is no comparison to CSI Las Vegas. I don’t really like CSI Cyber. You should give Nick Stocks his own CSI team (show) in a different State. Thanks and great job on this show.
