As the series begins, a vapid blonde aspiring model named Deb Dobson (Brooke D’Orsay) is killed in a car crash. As her soul enters the gates of Heaven, she finds herself declared a self-centered “zero” by the gatekeeper, Fred (Ben Feldman). Not liking what she’s heard, she presses return, hoping to get back to Earth. Deb gets her wish but doesn’t end up in her own body. Instead, she finds herself deposited inside recently-deceased Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliott). Jane’s a highly-intelligent, plus-size attorney who was accidentally shot. Superficial Deb is initially horrified by her new form but in time begins to discover the meaning of inner beauty.
Though she has Jane’s form and legal knowledge, Deb doesn’t have Jane’s memories, making for some very uncomfortable situations. Things are made even tougher by the fact that Deb’s boyfriend, Grayson Kent (Jackson Hurst), works at the same law firm. She’d love to pick up their relationship but he’s still grieving for her former self. Hot-shot lawyer Kim Kasswell (Kate Levering) has always looked down on Jane because of her appearance and wants to start a relationship with Grayson now that Deb is “gone.”
Teri Lee (Margaret Cho) is Jane’s office assistant who tries to help her boss overcome her confusion. After sending Deb back to Earth, Fred is demoted to be her guardian angel and works in the firm’s mailroom to keep an eye on her. He ends up falling for aspiring actress/model Stacy Barnett (April Bowlby), Deb’s best friend and the only person to know the truth about Jane.

Owen and Jane find themselves on opposite ends of a case while Kim represents her former temp when he’s fired from his temp agency.

What do you think? Do you still like the Drop Dead Diva TV series? Do you think that it should end?
Why would you cancel such a quality show? Can’t stand the reality shows…they are a waste of time. DIVA is one of the few shows worth watching. It’s well written and has a terrific cast. Don’t cancel the show, cancel the job of the person who made this terrible decision!
Love the show. It is one of few fit to watch show on television anymore. Please don’t cancel it.
I don’t like a lot of what’s on TV these days. Most is too crass and base. This is one of the few shows I enjoy watching. I have been watching since the beginning and my heart sank when I heard it was not continuing. Please leave one of the best shows on TV on. I’m tired of trashy and trampy and just love the Diva.

This show is to FANTASTIC to end. So much more to write about. Intelligent and smartly written, featuring some of the story lines in the news media – it also serves as a source of information. The cast is exceptional.
Please don’t cancel Drop Dead Diva. I really enjoy this show.
WHY?????? Are there not anyone to come up with more story lines for the show??? You can’t leave us hanging like that, please reconsider this. It’s one of the coolest shows around..DON’T DROP THE DIVA!!!!! PLEASE!!!

Thanks.
PLEASE NO! This is my one “guilty pleasure”….
I heard that Drop Dead Diva series is canceled for 2015 !!! This is one if the Best Shows ever and should not be canceled!!! That’s very disappointing !!! I’ve seen every episode since the. It is such a breath of fresh air compared to all the dumb reality shows that they think up!!! Not a good idea!
I just heard there was only 1 episode of Diva left before the finale??? When did this get decided?? Could you not come up with more story lines or what? Please reconsider, that show is the coolest. I want more!!!!
DO NOT cancel “Drop Dead Diva”, by far one of the best shows on TV! It’s gotten to the point with most of TV programming that it isn’t worth any of my time, BUT “DDD” is certainly up there with “Murphy Brown” (by far one of TV’s best). How can the programmers even consider that reality shows are what Americans want to watch? Are they smoking pot? I mean really. Please, please, do not cancel “Drop Dead Diva”.
PLEASE don’t end Drop Dead Diva! I LOVE this show! It’s very entertaining. If you want to cancel something, cancel the stupid reality TV shows that we are all sick of!
Please do not end the show. It fun to watch and very intertaining. Love every one on the show. Its something every one can watch the kids can watch and enjoy time with the family. Even my teenage grand daughter enjoys the show. thank you
