Last summer, CBS had high hopes for Extant but the show didn’t do very well in the ratings. They renewed it (in part becuase of a streaming deal with Amazon) but a lot of changes were made behind and in front of the camera. Were the changes a good idea? Will Extant be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
Extant, began when astronaut Molly Woods (Halle Berry) returned to Earth after a year-long solo mission in outer space. Her reunion with her family is thrown into turmoil when it’s learned that she’s pregnant. This season, the cast includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Pierce Gagnon, Grace Gummer, and David Morrissey.

Extant was a terrible show I don’t know what all you people are talking about. Terrible story and the acting isn’t that great either.

Season Two rocks! I bought it on Amazon and could not tear myself away. I put it right up there with 24 and Homeland. I didn’t see season 1 but you don’t have to with the recap at the beginning of each show. It would be a tragedy if this show is cancelled. Great cast, great acting, action packed scripts and a very sexy Halle Berry.

I loved both seasons of this show and please do not cancel. I was glued to the television watching Halle and Jeffrey in this most unusual science fiction. I also loved the chemistry between Halle and Jeffrey and can forsee all kinds of story lines to continue with this show.I am so tired of reality shows and love the alien part of this show.PLEASE DONT CANCEL
Extant was a superior show. Could have survived several seasons. So well made. We are killing off good TV too early. This show will have a place in the scifi community for years to come.
I liked season 1 of Extant but I loved Season 2. I would live to see a season 2 and the ending certainly makes it a possibility. I vote for a Season 3 of this exciting show.
Extant hit a much needed stride in season two. I’ve watched from the beginning and I love the show. A more in depth synopsis at the beginning for new viewers would help. Instead of repeating the same lines every week, Halle could do more character introduction for new viewers. It is a character driven show and that is what new viewers need to know.
John’s coming back as Taalr. Ratings will be higher once Amazon figures added. I hope Amazon takes it over for season 3, some desperate shifts took place in last 2 episodes undermining integrity of plot and characters, as if it was thought up at the last minute. Season 1 evoked true drama and suspense through characters and intrigue, S2 relied more on guns.
The nelson ratings are flawed and a lousy way to determine if a show should continue. For one thing it is impossible to become of the people who rate the show, for another they do no take into account that you can watch a show when ever you want and do not have to watch it the same day it shows. This is why so many like the bbc shows because Europe does not rely on those stupid ratings.

I LOVE THE SHOW!!! I’M HOPING FOR A 3RD SEASON. THIS SEASON WITH THE HUMANICS (LUCY) HAS ME GLUED TO MY SET. HOPING CBS WILL GIVE IT ANOTHER SEASON.
its much better this year than last. the chemistry between the leads is much improved as are most of the characters. Its hard to maintain ratings in the summer people don’t have time for serial type shows
I liked season 1 and LOVE season 2. The writing is better, the pace is quicker, the 2ndary characters are interesting. Fingers crossed it gets another season.
