TV show description:
A fantasy crime drama, this TV series follows New York City’s star medical examiner — Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), handsome man with a secret past. No matter how hard he tries, Henry can’t age even a single day — he’s immortal. He doesn’t know much about what happens when he “dies” except that everything on him disappears and he reemerges in a body of water, naked.
Henry doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases however. He does it to try to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the reason for his own inexplicable immortality.
Henry’s long life has given him remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). This piques her curiosity about who he is. Each new case and their budding friendship reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Jo’s sharp, no-nonsense instincts and her ability to close difficult cases have given her a tough-as-nails reputation on the force, despite also dealing with the untimely loss of her husband.
Lucas Wan (Joel David Moore) is a twenty-something self-proclaimed “artisan of death” and Henry’s worshipful assistant. He considers mortuary science an art, and Henry its Picasso. After transplanting to New York City from rural Ohio, Lucas worked up the courage to introduce himself to the star medical examiner at a crime scene.
A Brooklyn native, Detective Hanson (Donnie Keshawarz) works alongside Jo and has worked his way up to the NYPD’s elite squad of homicide detectives. He’s a family man who lives with his wife and two children in Queens. Unafraid of bending the rules to get the job done, Hanson is sometimes skeptical of Henry’s talent but often admires its effectiveness.
No one knows Henry better than his best friend and confidant, an antique shop owner named Abe (Judd Hirsch). The keeper of Henry’s immortality secret, Abe’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires Henry to get more in touch with the beauty of living. Abe is not immortal but he is determined to make the most out of every moment of life.
Episode #22 — The Last Death of Henry Morgan
Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time.
Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation.
First aired: May 5, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
One of the few show BOTH my husband and I enjoyed
I always looked forward to Tuesday nights because of Forever. The cast was amazing! When I saw “The Last Death of Henry Morgan” I had no idea that was the finale. I thought there was at least another episode. I am saddened they always take the shows with something that is different off the air. I welcomed the cast into my home every week. So sad to see you go …
was camping when i heard the bad news.. this was my #1 show.
i was telling everyone how great it was!
ABC never gave it a chance.

more fans needs to email ABC .
It is so true. The networks do not give a good show a chance.
I went back to ABC because of Forever.
I loved every Tuesday!!!!
No I am bummed.
Loved Forever. Is there any email to write to beg Warner Brothers to shop this show to other networks or venues to keep it alive. This is the most disappointing cancellation of the season for me.
Craig there are all different a kinds of petitions out to save Forever. Just goggle save the show Forever different ones come up. Sign them and post them. We can keep this going so the networks will listen and bring Forever back. Tell all ur friends and let’s get our show back
It’s sad to see the demise of the old 3 networks that created television in the 50s. There was a mix of programming and creative talents that had us looking forward to each new season. Now we look at the desolate wasteland that has nothing new and interesting. The network executives try to out-weird the crap the has been put on the off-channels and now pervades the formerly major networks. I guess it’s back to Netflex and DVRing the rare programming and with the ad edited out. Advertizers get smart – fire the Networks. Maybe support moving FOREVER to USA… Read more »
networks always do this to good show. Like firefly. You keep the realty shows. What is going with TV. This sum it up you schedulea were weren’t on track you showed you didn’t. It was out of order. It seem like you didn’t want forever to make it. This a great show with great plot. It needs a chance for a 2nd season.
Great show, can’t believe it has been cancelled only after one season. It wasn’t given a chance to get a proper following. Please reconsider ….. It deserves another chance
Thanks
Roslen
can’t believe that Forever has been cancelled. Best show I’ve seen in a while. It was unique and special. Please give it another chance. Thanks.

It figures. 🙁 I wasn’t surprised.. not because the show isn’t good enough, but because networks never give a show a chance to find its audience. Instead of moving this series to an earlier, more “visible” time-slot to see if it catches fire, they opted to engage in a “Forever mini-marathon” one week.. but that one feeble “gesture” isn’t enough to gain an audience. I’m completely heart-broken because this is the only major network series worth my time.. but life must go on. It’s the nature of networks to cancel a show without giving it a real chance these days.… Read more »
Longmire got saved by Netflix. Unforgettable by A&E? And ABC can’t keep Forever for just another season. They don’t deserve good shows on their network. You get 18-20 minutes of commercial, but can’t live with “only” 5 million viewrers? Maybe network execs just make too much…for their size brains.
It’s been said already this was an interesting intelligent show. It was one of the very few I looked forward to each week. I have almost given up on network TV, everytime they do come out with something worth watching it is canceled.
I think that Forever should have been renewed for another season. The ending provided for the follwers of the program wasn’t anywhere near satisfactory. The premise for the show was great and met all my and my family’s expectations. The public and the show deserved better than this. Given the current state of programing that either recycles the same stale plots or is meant to appeal to the average 5th grader, something fresh and inventive was a real treat. Too bad that not enough of the public is watching TV in real ‘program’ time, rather than binging on mulitple episodes.… Read more »
