Move over, Nashville. FOX has just committed to a comedy pilot set in the country music capital, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series, titled Belles and Whistles, comes from creator Alex McAulay (formerly of Eastbound and Down) and will follow “the life of an unfulfilled father who, after being fired from his comfortable tech job in Silicon Valley, decides to move his dysfunctional family to Nashville in order to pursue his lifelong dream of music stardom.”
Jack Black and Dwight Yoakam, both experienced musician-actors, are set to produce the single-camera family comedy.
No word yet on an airdate.
