TV show description:
This medieval fantasy TV show is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin. The first is titled A Game of Thrones.
Set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the show opens, additional threats from the icy region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent of Essos are simultaneously beginning to rise.
Lord Eddard “Ned” Stark (Sean Bean) is the head of the Stark family. He and his wife Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) have five children: eldest Robb (Richard Madden), dainty Sansa (Sophie Turner), tomboy Arya (Maisie Williams), adventurous Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and the toddler, Rickon (Art Parkinson).
The family’s outsiders are Ned’s bastard son, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), and Ned’s hostage and ward Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen).
King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) shares a loveless marriage with Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), who has taken her twin — the “Kingslayer” Ser Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) — as her lover and loathes her younger brother, a clever dwarf named Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).
Cersei’s oldest child is Prince Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) who is guarded by a scar-faced warrior named Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann). One of the king’s advisors is the crafty Lord Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen), Master of Coin.
Across the Narrow Sea are siblings Viserys (Harry Lloyd) and Daenerys “Dany” Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). They are the exiled children of the king overthrown by Robert and are on the run for their lives and are trying to win back the throne.
Dany is married to Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), the leader of the barbaric Dothraki, for the promise of an army for Viserys. Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) is an exiled knight who’s sworn to protect the fugitive siblings.
Episode #73 — The Iron Throne
The fate of the Seven Kingdoms is at stake as the final chapter of Game of Thrones is written.
First aired: May 19, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Thrones TV series? Do you think the series should end with season eight?
Each episode in Season 6 gets better and better. I hope the writers don’t kill off Lyanna Mormont but I certainly hope that Ramsay gets killed and wouldn’t it be poetic if it’s his dogs that do the deed.
wonderful show I love the action and suspense l
I wonder if Jon Snow will be the one to end up on the Iron Throne.
I absolutely adore GoT and have fallen madly in love with each character within every story told and yet to be. I pray it lasts a long, long time.
Best show on TV right now. ’nuff said.
the show should run as long as it takes to tell the story that has been written in the books!
The Game of throne is the only reason i have HBO. Love it!!! Don’t ever cancel it!
Best TV Series out. Please don’t stop this series!!!
I love this show ,it is whyI subscribe to HBO
My whole family loves this show! We can wait to see what will happen next! Best show ever!!!
This show should run FOREVER!! Awesome acting writing dialogue twists turns etc it put a good bandage over the wound “camelot” left! Well Done!
I love this show and think it should stay on tv until George rr Martin passes into the next life about 20 or 30 years OK?
i’ve read the series so was not expecting a good show. my wife is not really a fan of fantasy and never read the books.
WE BOTH LOVE THIS SHOW! don’t know what to say, but its clear the author knows how to write a fantastic story and the action keeps coming. its fun to see how your imagination reflects the casting. i pictured Hordor as being much younger and much stronger. and the knight of flowers .. did i miss that part in the book? that was a surprise.
The show at least should represent all the books that have been written about it and maybe more.
I am new to this show, having only seen one episode. I’m hooked, but I’m not sure if its because I want to see more, or if its because I want to figure out what is going on before making a decision. I was kind of confused by it, and more surprised than I thought I’d be by the grittiness of it (although its a good thing, really!) I mean, I knew there’d be nudity and gore, but I guess I was taken aback by it somehow.
Should run for ever. One of the best Shows I’ve ever watched !!!!!
