Is Goliath getting a second season? Recently, creator David E. Kelley discussed the future of the Amazon TV series, Deadline reports.
Earlier this month, star Billy Bob Thornton picked up a Golden Globe for his role as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer who takes on the major corporate firm he helped create. The show’s cast also includes Maria Bello, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Sarah Wynter, and Molly Parker.
During the recent Television Critics Association press tour, Kelley said he’s “hopeful” for a second season of Goliath:
Amazon has not yet announced whether Goliath will return for a second season or not.We are hopeful, I believe it’s likely. We were told — you have to believe their own press releases — that it’s their No.1 show. That leads us to believe that we probably would be picked up for a second season.”
