It looks like Nick’s fights on Friday nights are far from over. NBC has renewed Grimm for a fifth season for 2015-16.
On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. Others in the cast include Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
Grimm is down by 7-10% in the ratings so far this season; averaging a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.99 million viewers. This season will see the fantasy crime drama reach the 88 episode mark, enough episodes for syndication. Next year it will likely reach 100 installments — quite an impressive feat for a genre series that airs on Friday nights on a major network.
What do you think? Do you like the Grimm TV show? Are you glad that it’s been renewed? How long should it continue?
Yes! Your back! Stick around for several more seasons, that is as long as you don’t ruin the show with the reality crap that’s invaded the networks. Watching people dumb down, acting stupid, dumb, over sexed is not entertainment. It’s mental garbage. Don’t mean to sound harsh, please just keep the show full of entertaining surprises. ,,,,,,,,, It will be interesting to see where the Nick, baby and Adiland story line goes and how protective he will be. Sorry Bitsy, but your character line became too whiny, was hard to watch. Then being bad was, bad! After killing Nicks mom,,,,… Read more »
5th season grimm, YES! Your back! It will be edge of seat seeing where Nick, adilaid and Juliette story line goes. Sorry to say no fan of Juliette, her character line became too whiny, then making her bad added some to her character come back, still no fan , BUT, after killing Nicks mother was definitely a no return!. Sorry Bitsy!
Time to move on with daddy Nick storyline!
So far, I’m sadly disappointed with Season 5. I’ve never been that fond of Adalind and if they’re planning to have Nick and Adalind get together permanently and Juliette is truly dead and gone, I doubt I’ll watch much longer. It’s unfortunately typical of writers. They have a good story and unique characters and storylines and they just decide to screw everything up and ruin the whole series. That’s a real injustice to fans like me. If this series is going down the tubes, no, it should not be renewed beyond this season. What a huge disappointment.
Totally disagree! It will be interesting to see where storyline goes, Nick being daddy and how protective he becomes! Adalind could turn out to be the best for his story line, her character has spunk. Sorry Bitsy! But the Juliette character line became too whiny, became hard to watch, then when she became bad it wasn’t right, didn’t fit her.
Also please please please, Grimm producers don’t ruin the show with over sexed, dumbed down, air head, reality TV crap. Make this one of the best entertainment shows as it has been!
Agreed. Grimm has turned into fan fiction. The way Juliette was gotten rid of in favor of Adalind, who is now magically good and conveniently pregnant with Nick’s baby (a boy, no less)…it reeks of bad fan fiction. And they are going to live together and raise the kid? I’ve never been much of a fan of kids showing up on this kind of TV show, and I really don’t like Adalind (didn’t much care for Juliette either, but she was the lesser of two evils). I stopped watching after the season premiere. I can catch it all on Netflix… Read more »
Thank you, Ero. So far, you’re the only person who has agreed with my assessment of Season 5. I am NO FAN of babies and deliveries, etc. That seems to be something men think is just fascinating and I just hit the mute during those disgusting scenes. Anyway, last week’s show was a little better — at least there was more Nick and Hank and LESS Adalind. I agree, too, that the people who’ve responded who think “nice” Adalind is an acceptable change, blah, blah, blah. Ridiculous. Suddenly making her a “caring, motherly type” who “doesn’t want to be a… Read more »
Grimm is very entertaining. A very strong cast and story line can go on for more seasons..similar to Supernatural. Beware Grimm fans: too many tv productions cater to the simplistic….sexed up reality trash, cops & robbers, lawyers & dumbass defendants, or stupid comedy with laugh tracks catering to viewers with low expectations. If necessary, Grimm could be carried bt Syfy or TNT. Keep watching. Reach out to othet Syfy fans. Grimm is the best!
Omg I couldn’t wait for Grim to come back and they didn’t disappoint.. Absolutely love this show. so plz NBC don’t take it off, I’m begging!!! I’m already upset about the Player may be going..

Grimm is one of the best shows ever made and i’m so glad it’s coming back for a 6th season and many more years to come.
It has the perfect blend of action but intellectual scripting. I hope it keeps going to 7 seasons
