canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Grimm: Season Five Ratings

Published: May 21, 2016

Grimm TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or renew?)Airing on Friday nights, Grimm has never done very well in the ratings. However, it has managed to escape being cancelled each year. At the end of season five, the series will have more than enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package. Will this be the year that it’s cancelled or will Grimm be renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.

On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. The rest of the cast includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

4/5 update: NBC has renewed Grimm for a sixth season. Details here.

5/21 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The fourth season of Grimm averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.81 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you still like Grimm TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for sixth season?

But Grimm is not being cancelled, but the Juliette´s show. lol
What a shame of plot resurrecting the worst characters like that idiot and letting go characters so heavy as Mama Grimm or Meisner.

I have been watching Grimm since the first episode. The acting, story lines writing and selection of actors are outstanding. I work in a hospital and I was surprised to learn how many people tuned in every week. Please don’t cancel Grimm. It is so well done on all levels. Connie Potter

Sorry to see Grimm go the way of the albatross. It was better than most of the garbage that we are constantly subjected to on mainstream television these days such as stupid, inane sitcoms, reality tv, and the same rehashed soap operas involving the melodramatic relationships of people working in emergency rooms, police departments, military crime investigation units, etc. Ho hum.

It’ s amazing how many say they could not watch the Grimm show because it was at time they could not watch. Lame excuse. That is why there are means to record the show at the time it airs so you can watch it at a later time. If you are one of those who could not set the time on a VCR machine…get someone else to do it for you. Likewise its also wonderful to see how tv executives have shifted the true failure of shows to ratings. The tv executives should have enough “TALENT” to know when writers… Read more »

It´s not a surprise if this show got cancelled, after repeat the same plot week after week. The effects are more poors everytime, the continous imposition of Juliette resurrected, Juliette being a superwoman undead, Juliette killing the bad guys, Juliette in the shower, Juliette sucking the Adalind´s hat of hexenbiest, Juliette pirouetting which figure skater killing the bad guys…Juliette dating with Nick in the real life…Juliette, Juliette has had a price, and i´m glad. this show needs a worthy ending, and the channel pay a better show. this sucks really the ratings are a shame. Thanks to Juliette. Who is… Read more »

I wish NBC would not cancel Grimm after this season. Why not move it around to different time slots , it’s really good and should stay
