canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Grimm: Season Five Ratings

Published: May 21, 2016

Grimm TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or renew?)Airing on Friday nights, Grimm has never done very well in the ratings. However, it has managed to escape being cancelled each year. At the end of season five, the series will have more than enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package. Will this be the year that it’s cancelled or will Grimm be renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.

On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. The rest of the cast includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

4/5 update: NBC has renewed Grimm for a sixth season. Details here.

5/21 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The fourth season of Grimm averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.81 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you still like Grimm TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for sixth season?

My family and I have watched the show since it first started. The show has been an exciting and fun ride. The writing and cast are perfect. It was great to see Nick become the Grimm and his relationship with his friends and how it grew and changed.
I will really miss this show and I would hope NBC will pick it back up. I want to see how they grow with their families and all the adventures.

To me grimm is 1 of the best tv shows in a long time, taking it off the air won’t be good it’s a lot of tv series but nothing like this one.The story line is very interesting wich make you feel happy or sad.My lady and I loves this show we buy the dvd of every season. If NBC don’t keep grimm on air then at least sell the program to another network to keep on air with same cast or sell future seasons on blu ray & dvd.

It is sad GRIMM is not being renewed…this is one of the best series out there.
I may not be able to watch it on Friday Night but I watch it as soon as I can on Saturday.
There are very few shows that carry this type of genre and even yet, carry it off well.
Please keep it going or offer it up to HULU or NETFLIX to purchase it.
We don’t want to see it end!

My family is very sad to see it go. I’m sure the money people want more money but Grimm has been raked all over creation so it is a wonder it made it as long as it did. It makes me sad to see it end with all the shows I’ve seen over the many decades make it another year that should have ended. Let us know if you want to find out how us true Grimmies really feel about your show, WE LOVE IT! Brush up on your creativity a little bit and give it another season. This is… Read more »
