canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Grimm: Season Five Ratings

Published: May 21, 2016

Grimm TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or renew?)Airing on Friday nights, Grimm has never done very well in the ratings. However, it has managed to escape being cancelled each year. At the end of season five, the series will have more than enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package. Will this be the year that it’s cancelled or will Grimm be renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.

On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. The rest of the cast includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

4/5 update: NBC has renewed Grimm for a sixth season. Details here.

5/21 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The fourth season of Grimm averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.81 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you still like Grimm TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for sixth season?

My Husband and I LOVE Grimm! This last Season is even better than the earlier ones. We would Love to see a spin off where the Grimm Crew space travel to help Earth live or something like that. This is our date night and the cast feel like our friends. Last night we were saying all their names and wishing they were to be in another series together if Grimm would not be back.

Grimm has been one program my fiancee and I actually enjoy watching together! That is a rarity, just as the show itself. It will not be easily replaced by its viewers. It truly is rather discouraging news to hear the fate of the show. It really would brighten that one night a week should it be decided to continue after all.

I’d love to see Grimm continue, I’m very disappointed that Grimm was cancelled!!! How long did Dallas run, & it was the same crap every week, & it lasted well past it’s prime! Same old stuff every show! As far as I’m concerned I’m done watching NBC if they End Grimm! Hope I’m not the only one who feels that way! They should poll their viewers before making that determination! Why would I give them another chance to get hooked on a show that will end before it’s time?

Grimm is one of the best shows they have come up with in a very long time. No geeky college kids, no mouthy rude teenagers, no adults who seem unable to act their supposed ages, no idiots running stupid companies with managers who could not survive in the real world, no sorry attempts at witty humor, no humorless not even close to being comedies and no irritating brats that are supposed to be cute and clever and don’t even come close. Grimm has imagination, suspense and originality but is always over way too soon. It beats most of the garbage… Read more »
