Syfy has announced a schedule change for Haven. They’re moving it to Thursdays at 8pm starting with the fifth season launch on September 11th. The TV show had been scheduled to air at 10pm.
There will be 26 installments in season five of Haven, twice as many episodes as in past seasons. At the moment, only 11 episodes have been scheduled. They run through November 20th.

I absolutely love Haven. Not only have I never missed an episode, I own all the seasons on DVD. I hope it stays on. If the worse happens, I hope the season 5 DVD release has all the episodes on it. Not crazy about the 7pm time slot. As for the “lack of chemistry” between Nathan and Mara, it makes sense to me. There would be different “chemistry” between Mara and Nathan. IMHO. I definitely agree Jennifer should be brought back for a little twist (even though a lot are suspecting it.) I wasn’t too fond of her quirky acting, but their love story was a decent one. Either way- my main squeeze needs an on-screen love interest.
I like this show very much. I thought the characters were well developed and it was different and quirky. I think the two Audrey’s have affected the chemistry. Mara does not want to care about Nathan or anyone so it comes off as little chemistry between the two. There are very few good shows to watch and the mystery that surrounds Haven is what makes it interesting to me.
Not crazy about the time slot but very happy it is coming back on!!

Of course they are moving around the show. #1 The writers are out of ideas and #2 It is not going anywhere. I record EVERYTHING to get thru ALL of the commercials! Most do unless it is a satellite or cable channel.
Like someone above said, I TiVo it and watch at a later time, Moving it to the new date is an iffy proposition. I mean when it was on Fridays, you never thought it would get great viewership as many people go out on Thursdays, so maybe this will help it with the live viewers.
The first few weeks will tell me whether to keep watching or put it out of it’s misery.
To answer the questions: No, I do not like the timeslot change, Thursdays are crowded enough already. No, I do not watch the show live; Thursdays are too crowded and I have to use my DVR. In fact, I may even have to rely on repeat airings. But yes, I am very much looking forward to this new season! However, I have a question for the Haven crowd: is it only me, or does anyone else notice the lack of chemistry between the two leads? i agree with you. I dont feel like they have much chemistry at all,i actually thinks she has more chemistry with Duke than with Nathan.

Thank you, at least someone besides me noticed something. Poor Duke, he’s such a sad case. Maybe he’ll get lucky and end up with Audrey yet. If only I could get lucky and end up with Lucas!

“Haven” had previously aired on Fridays at 10pm. I think the shifting of “Haven” to Thursdays at 8pm from the initially-planned 10pm is because there were plans to move WWE’s “SmackDown” from Fridays to Thursdays, and this plan was abandoned, so “SmackDown” will remain on Fridays.
I watch this because some sci-fi is better than no sci-fi…but…it’s time to take this puppy out to the woods and give it a quick double tap.
Love the show, hope they play all episodes! I have to DVR it, because I work late, but, I haven’t missed an episode yet! If they cancel the season, please give good closure, so many great shows get cancelled and we are left hanging, I hate that!!!

I still miss Eureka, Sanctuary and I loved Fringe….

Moving it from when? Darn it people. Don’t you know a lot of us DVR everything and watch whenever we have time. We don’t have any ‘have to be home on X night at X o’clock’ mentality to remember when something comes on!
Not crazy about time/day slot. But will watch every episode as love the show.Will have to dvr as can’t ever catch a program at 8. Can’t wait for first episode. Hope this show stays on for 5 more years.
