A new spy drama is coming to ABC. Deadline reports the network is developing a new series from Viola Davis called Head Games.
Based on the novel by Chuck Rose, the drama “follows Dr. Jonah Hoffman, a Park Avenue psychiatrist, who is approached by the government to come work for them as a spy, feeding them crucial intel on one of his patients, a potential national security threat.”
Rose is writing the project and executive producing alongside Davis and Julius Tennon.
From Rose:
I wanted to tell a story that dealt with the fear and paranoia that we’re all dealing with right now. But also to tell a story about family. And how the two forces affect each other. Viola and the folks at JuVee’s passion and commitment to telling character driven stories that are timely and relevant made them the perfect fit for Head Games.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of spy thrillers? Would you watch Head Games?
Maybe she is really working on her next new show. The ratings on How To Get Away With Murder have been lousy and dropping a lot. How long will ABC keep it? Maybe one more season?
