Comedy Central doesn’t have many scripted series. How will the second season of its Idiotsitters TV show perform in the ratings? Can this new twist on the odd-couple genre retain and grow its audience? Has the channel given up on the show since they’re airing the entire season across two Saturday nights? Will Idiotsitters be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A scripted comedy, Idiotsitter stars Charlotte Newhouse, Jillian Bell, Stephen Root, Elizabeth De Razzo, and Jennifer Elise Cox. The Comedy Central story centers on Billie Brown (Newhouse). She’s a straight-laced, struggling Ivy League grad, who applies for a babysitting job to help her get by. The nanny ad was just a cover, though. Instead of the seven-year-old girl Billie expected to watch, she ends up with Gene Russell (Bell). Gene is an out of control party girl, who is under house arrest in her wealthy father’s mansion. She is in dire need of a guardian and tutor. Billie needs the cash, so she takes the job.
