Into the Badlands got a strong start on AMC. The series premiere earned a 3.15 in the 18-49 ratings demographic, and drew a total audience of 6.390 million viewers. It steadily declined from there. The Into the Badlands season one finale only racked up 0.83 in the demo, and a total audience of 2.159 million viewers.
In all, the first season of Into the Badlands averaged 1.79 in the demo, with an average audience of 3.86 million. We are tracking ratings for nine scripted AMC shows. Of those shows, Mad Men ended after its seventh season, and Hell on Wheels is ending after season five.
Despite the ratings decline throughout, its first season averages place Into the Badlands third, after only The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. Still, of the seven remaining AMC shows we track, Into the Badlands is the only one that has not been officially renewed.
Into the Badlands star, Daniel Wu, has said he can see the show lasting for five or six seasons. In early December, Wu posted on Facebook that the show had been renewed for season two, but the post was later deleted.
Just before Christmas, EPs Al Gough and Miles Millar reported AMC has been happy with the show’s performance. They also teased what a second season of Into the Badlands might look like.
Are you a fan of the Into the Badlands TV show? Should Into the Badlands be cancelled, or renewed for a second season? Let us know.

The program is certainly worth additional seasons. I even watch the repeats on BBC America

This a great show. Bring it back.
I really enjoyed this show. I was looking forward to watching it. Everyone I told about it started watching it and loved it also. Bring it back it’s a good and exciting action pack show.
Bring it Back!! Going to withdrawal!!! I grew up on martial arts movies and this show brings back those memories and feelings. Not really a show as badass as this one on television. Renew! Renew! Renew!
Well, I feel this show should definitely be renewed. I thought the entire premise of the show was pretty mind blowing, and very original. The attachment to each individual cast member becomes so real in each episode more and more. I really hope the show gets a second season contract signed asap. the way the first season was ended makes the anticipation of finding out what’s next in store so much worse
