Amazon renewed The Man in the High Castle for a second season, back in December. A few days later, the streaming service announced the series is its most-streamed original series, to date.
Did you watch the first season of The Man in the High Castle TV show? Do you plan to watch the second? Did you binge the series or ration out the episodes? Let us know, below.
THIS IS AN EXCELLENTLY PRODUCED, WRITTEN AND ACTED PROGRAM. Too close too concerns in the US and must watch show. The Man in the High Castle was a compelling viewing discovery for us which we’ve recommended to many others — friends and via social media. Authoritarianism did not disappear into history and this dystopian program reminds us why people become slaves to it, victims of it,
I watched every episode as it came out. Looked forward yo it. Am tremendous fan of the book.
Just finished watching with “she that must be obeyed”, semi-binged watched at 2 episodes a night. Brilliantly acted with casting producing characters that seemed so real, unlike the more normal “Hollywood” produced TV. (I had the same comment about Bosch, another very well produced Amazon show). But of course what I really enjoyed was that 60’s look and feel, and the special effects where pretty well flawless. Also of course great directing to bring every part of it together. I was surprised that the “bounty hunter” suddenly vanished, what a great character he was! I was expecting him to show… Read more »
Great show, very well done. I watched the whole season over a weeks time. As soon as I got home from work I went straight to watching. Good job Amazon, waiting for the next season with great anticipation.
I could not stop watching it! Normally a season will take me between 8 and 12 weeks to watch, but this one took 2 days! Watching in large chunks of 5 or 6
I was very surprised at how much I liked this series. It is as well written and acted as a series can be. Also, the scenery and CGI were incredible. Do not wait to watch this show. I can’t wait for season 2 ! If Amazon Studios keeps producing series of this quality, we can expect great things in the future.
Watched it and loved it, especially the last 3 minutes of the series. Very “Fringe” vibes about possibly a parallel universe.
Thank you for reading and for your comment, Richard. Why did you like those last three minutes, so much?
I agree with Richard, the last 3 minutes for me set up great potential storyline
This is actually the reason I stopped watching after the second episodes I think. (maybe it was the first). I wanted real ‘what if’ story, but from the tape they found it was clear that this was just a parallel universe and in fact reality did happen. Obviously they would take that as a norm, etc. etc. So my interest stopped there.
What happened in the last 3 minutes is actually a direct lift from the end of the Philip K. Dick book. It’s not like they were inventing it to generate future plotlines.
