Even before rebranding as Paramount Network in 2018, Viacom’s Spike TV cable channel has once again begun to dip a toe into scripted programming. Is it putting its best foot forward with The Mist — based on the Stephen King’s sci-fi thriller of the same name? Will The Mist be cancelled or renewed for season two? Would a second season make sense? Stay tuned.
A Spike horror drama, The Mist TV show stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Frances Conroy. After the Copeland family’s daughter is brutalized, an ominous mist overwhelms the town of Bridgeville, Maine. In it are countless, confusing, concerning threats. Family, friends, and even enemies form unusual alliances, as they fight the enigmatic mist and the threats therein. Whether they will be able to remain moral and sane — as the fabric of society unravels — remains to be seen.

If they knew how to market this show would be a hit for sure. Putting a show out and just “seeing what happens” is something that leads me to believe they are depending on the older execs that have no idea of social media and the power it has. I never even heard of this show until this week and I finished the whole season. Mad as hell they let it die. How you gonna stop it at that ending. If I had the money I’d buy the rights to this show. I personally think that the mist should be renewed. It was a great show, it kept us on the edge of our seats and it really left us hanging at the end of the season! I want to know more about the characters and I want to see what happens!

I really enjoyed the show.. I thought the series was pretty good.. It’s better than some mainstream shows that sucks that somehow manage a second, third, and fourth season.. I thought the ending was pretty satisfying.. (spoiler) when he backed the truck into the mall, it was so gratifying.. Those motherfuckers got what they deserved.. The mall manager, and the security guard especially.. Adrian is still out there, can’t wait for him to get his just deserves, which I’m sure he would have gotten on season 2..weirdly, I thought the old lady, (frances conroy), was kinda hot, sorta.. Cowards! That is what spike TV is. To cancel after only one season, after the population has become invested in the characters. First seasons are just that .. story outline and charater development .. the first season of the walking dead was chancey but they took a chance and now look, fear the walking dead was that way for 2 seasons, now look. Nobody was really invested in those awful characters with no plot and lame teen drama. The Mist novel and movie are awesome, but to make a series about it must be really hard, and the lack of monsters was the worst choice made for the series.
People just want to see the gay rapist kid die, nothing more.

This was an odd, awful, stupid show. it really should never have seen the light of day but spike was desperate for a hot so we got this mess. Its a shame because it has great source material behind it, which had been previously adapted into a very good movie.
