A couple years ago, ABC aired a Canadian crime drama called Motive during the summer months. The network ran the series for two summers before dropping it after August 2014, most likely because of poor ratings.
However, Motive continued to be produced and aired in Canada but most TV viewers in the United States couldn’t continue to watch the show on television — until now.
USA Network has picked up Motive and will start airing episodes tomorrow night (April 1st). The cable channel is picking up where ABC left off and will be airing the third season. The cast includes Kristin Lehman, Louis Ferreira, Brendan Penny, Lauren Holly, Warren Christie and Roger Cross.
If you want to catch up, USA has posted the second seasons’ episodes online. They’ve also posted recaps of the first season’s installments.
The fourth (and final) season of Motive is currently airing in Canada. It will be interesting to see how long it will be before USA airs those episodes.

Motive is original, well made and compelling. It’s always sad to see when something that is thought-provoking and different in its presentation and format doesn’t make it. All too few of these around! The world isn’t cookie-cutter, why should our shows be? Thank you, Canada, for giving us this show for this long, at least! Love Kristin and all the rest of the cast!

Motive is a good crime drama. I’ve seen every episode. Reconsider.
Motive was a great series, the writing was smart, the characters weren’t the cookie cutter characters that are depicted on cop shows. USA network isn’t afraid to put programs on that are different, I’ll surely miss the show and the great acting.

NOOOOOOO! I LOVE MOTIVE! Love the characters, especially Angie, and the clever writing. Just another intelligent show to leave us because people are too stupid to appreciate a good show. Sorry, Angie (Kristin). I’ll keep an eye out for you!

Loved the show; was SO excited when USA picked up after a year or so of waiting when ABC dropped. Getting different info if there is a season 5 and or 6. If so, hopefully USA will not leave us hanging.
