The season finale of Notorious just aired, but what about a second season? Recently, showrunner Josh Berman spoke with TVLine about the future of the ABC series.
The drama revolves around the symbiotic relationship between a charismatic defense attorney (Daniel Sunjata) and a powerhouse TV producer (Piper Perabo) as they attempt to control the media, the justice system, and each other. The cast also includes Kate Jennings Grant, Aimee Teegarden, J. August Richards, Sepideh Moafi, Ryan Guzman, and Kevin Zegers.
Earlier, ABC decided to cut down the season one order of Notorious from 13 episodes to 10. And while that may suggest a cancellation, Berman says there is hope for season two:
There’s absolutely hope for more episodes. ABC is paying to keep our sets, as opposed to striking them, which is obviously a costly endeavor. So that’s always a good sign. Our audience has stuck around from the beginning, but Thursday is a tough night.”
Later, Berman added that he already has plans for Darin for season two:
Actually, if we do come back, there’s a whole storyline we hope to tell where he gets hired at a competing network, which would put his son [Ryan] in a compromising position.”
ABC has still not announced a season two renewal for Notorious.

I think the show is awesome!! We must have a second season, etc. Love the cast. Daniel Sunjata does an amazing job in this multifaceted lawyer role. He and Piper work so well together and I love that it shows a tight friendship between a man and woman without it being sexualized.
I am not a fan of continuous story episodes but this series has my attention. Hoefully it will continue for another season

I really enjoy this show and have watched every episode. I love the uniqueness and the story’s keep me coming back for more. I think it deserves a 2nd chance and will hopefully pick up more viewers.
I have such a positive reaction to this new show. Notorious is such an unusual, original plot driven series with such unique and fresh characters that those of us faithful watchers would be so disappointed not to see it get a second chance.. I foresee the possibility of such interesting and provacative story lines that could give the series a really flourishing lifeline if it only just gets the opportunity to grow. . Please please don’t cancel it. There is nothing like it on the air.
Keep it! This is one of the few shows that my husband and I both enjoy.
My husband and I both love this show and would hate to see it cancelled. If need be, move it to a different night. I also agree that re-running it this summer may attract many more viewers. Give it a chance, please.
I really loved this this and I wish more people had given it a chance. I found it far more entertaining than a lot of other new shows. Maybe it would do better on a different day? Or maybe if they re-aired it in summer they would pick up more viewers….who knows? I really think the show deserves a second chance.
The ratings for this show were a total disaster. Nobody is watching. It is the lowest rated show in its timeslot. The premise is ridiculous. Is NBC doing this to keep people from finding out that Channing Dungey is a complete failure and should be fired? Is the job of someone else at ABC on the line if they admit this show is a failure? Stay Tuned.

I watched this show from day one. The story telling is compelling. The cliffhangers at the end of each episode were torture. I couldn’t wait for the next episode to start. I put my money where my mouth is and bought the season on Amazon Video. I really enjoy binge watching this show. The actors are great and the characters have fascinating back stories. The hints about Megan’s history are intriguing. I need more episodes.

They need to give the show a chance.. I love the show.. There are other shows that needs to be cancelled. Why the good ones gets to be in the chopping block?
You have heard from me many times keep the show. You have a talented cast, and I absolutely love everyone of them in their respective roles. The station has plenty more shows that would not be missed if cancelled. I held my breath throughout the season finale it was so intense. I love a show that with this type of intensity.
