Let the games begin. In advance of the Penny Dreadful third season premiere, May 1, 2016 at 10:00pm ET/PT, Showtime is launching a Penny Dreadful TV series fan art contest. The contest begins today, April 18, and runs through Friday, May 13, 2016. Learn how to enter, below.

Starring Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, and Eva Green, Penny Dreadful is a psychological horror thriller created, written and executive produced by John Logan. Patti LuPone returns to Penny Dreadful, season three, as a series regular in the new role of Dr. Seward. The cast also includes: Eva Green, Wes Studi, Shazad Latif. Guest stars include Christian Camargo, Sam Barnett, Jessica Barden, Perdita Weeks, Simon Russell Beale, Sarah Greene, Rory Kinnear, and Harry Treadaway.

SHOWTIME® CONJURES UP A FAN ART COMPETITION FOR ITS PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER “PENNY DREADFUL” PREMIERING SUNDAY, MAY 1ST AT 10 PM ET/PT

Starting Today, Fans Can Submit Their PENNY DREADFUL-Inspired Art For The Opportunity To Win Special Prizes

NEW YORK – April 18, 2016 – SHOWTIME is kicking off the third season of its hit drama series, PENNY DREADFUL, which premieres on Sunday, May 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with a fan-driven art competition. Starting today through Friday, May 13th, fans can submit their artwork to The Penny Dreadful Fan Art Competition on pennydreadful.tumblr.com for the chance to win special prizes. One winner will take home the Grandeur Prize, which includes $1,000 and the opportunity to transform their creation into an official poster, product, or an upcoming PENNY DREADFUL comic book. On Sunday, June 19th, SHOWTIME will announce the Grandeur Prize Winner during the final two episodes of the third season, which will air back-to-back starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT. SHOWTIME will showcase submitted fan artwork in the PENNY DREADFUL gallery.

Starring Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton and Golden Globe® nominee Eva Green, PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller created, written and executive produced by three-time Oscar® nominee John Logan (Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator).This season on PENNY DREADFUL, Tony® Award-winning star Patti LuPone (American Horror Story), who guest starred last season as the Cut-Wife, returns as a series regular in the new role of Dr. Seward, an American therapist who treats Vanessa (Eva Green) with an unconventional new approach. Wes Studi (Hell On Wheels) joins as a series regular as Kaetenay, an intense, enigmatic Native American with a deep connection to Ethan (Hartnett) who also becomes an ally to Sir Malcolm (Dalton). The third season also adds Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Henry Jekyll (Shazad Latif). Other guest stars include Screen Actors Guild Award® nominee Christian Camargo (DEXTER®, The Hurt Locker) as Dr. Alexander Sweet, a zoologist who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Vanessa; Sam Barnett (2012, Jupiter Ascending) as Dr. Seward’s mysterious young secretary; and Jessica Barden (The Outcast, Far from the Madding Crowd) as Justine, a young acolyte to Lily (Billie Piper) and Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney), and Perdita Weeks (THE TUDORS), as Catriona Hartdegan, a scholar with expert knowledge of the supernatural. Simon Russell Beale returns as Dr. Ferdinand Lyle and Sarah Greene as Hecate. Rory Kinnear (as The Creature) and Harry Treadaway (as Dr. Frankenstein) also star.

PENNY DREADFUL is produced by John Logan for Desert Wolf Productions, along with Oscar winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) and Pippa Harris (Revolutionary Road, Call The Midwife), both of Neal Street Productions and Karen Richards (THE BORGIAS).
