A couple of years ago, Edward Burns appeared in a TNT limited series called Mob City. It didn’t perform very well in the ratings. Now, he’s back on the network in a much bigger role — as an actor, director, and writer. Will Public Morals be a success for Burns and the cable channel? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Set in early 1960s New York City, Public Morals revolves around the professional and personal lives of the members of the NYPD’s Public Morals Division. They enforce the vice laws that are still on the books but that no one wants to enforce — prohibiting crimes like gambling and prostitution. The large cast includes Edward Burns, Michael Rapaport, Elizabeth Masucci, Katrina Bowden, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Wass Stevens, Keith Nobbs, Austin Stowell, Patrick Murney, Lyndon Smith, Brian Wiles, and Cormac Cullinane.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 880,000 total viewers.

Waiting for Public Morals to come back only to find out it has been cancelled. Something worth watching they cancel and they save the stupid shows like Rizzoli & Isles. Makes no sense.

Public Morals was the only show my husband and I watched on TNT. They finally had something worth watching ~ please bring it back. This is 1 of 3 great shows that the networks have cancelled that were really good and they continue to renew all the trash shows. About ready to give up paying big bucks for horrible programs. Public Morals was 1 that was worth watching!
Rizzoli & Isles and Major Crimes are much better shows. You are missing great shows if you aren’t watching them

Please please bring Public Morals back. My husband and I are addicted as are my college aged sons. I know at least 20 people in the Chicago area most of whom are Chicago Police officers, who absolutely love the show. I can not tell you how disappointed I was to learn Public Morals may not be renewed. TNT PLEASE RECONSIDER. Sincerely Julie in Chicago.
Please bring back this series. My wife and I are in are mid 20’s and love watching this and feeling like we traveled back in time. My wife loves Law and Order and Criminal Minds and all those shows but this one was different. We were faithful and loyal viewers. We had the series set to record but we never made it that long and always ended up watching it right when it came on. I really hope you give it another chance. Please bring P.M. back!! My husband and I were addicted. We would wait till we had 2 shows or more recorded and make it date night with about 2hours or more of the show to watch. Every episode was a cliff hanger that just got us more addicted. My dad even loved the show! Every Sunday we go to my parents and would take about the show over dinner! I really hope they bring it back! Please please please!!!!
LOVED this show. It needed more time to get the following it deserved. This show is what turned me to TNT and now I have no reason to give the other shows my time. I hope another station see what a great show this is and picks it up!
TNT should bring this show back it was the only show I watch on their channel so they are loosing me and I’m sure many others as viewers completely, They should bring it back it was a great show.
