While Channel 4 cancelled the Raised by Wolves TV show after two seasons, the British sitcom starring Rebekah Staton, Helen Monks, Philip Jackson, and Alexa Davies, may still return. Back in August, creators Caitlin Moran and Caroline Moran launched the #UpTheWolves social media-based campaign, in order to save the show.
Now the Moran sisters have established a Kickstarter campaign. To bankroll another episode, they need to raise £320,000 by their Christmas Eve deadline. What’s that in US dollars? The Kickstarter page indicates a $389,292 USD goal. To date, they’ve raised $113,680. The Morans says if they get more money, they will make additional episodes.
Kickstarter only distributes funds if and when a campaign reaches its goal. In other words, if you make a pledge, and the campaign fails, your money returns to your pocket.
Finally, the Morans are offering some fun rewards. A £5.00 (about $6.00) pledge earns supporters a special GIF thank you video message from Della (Staton). To get the thank you GIF as well as behind the scenes updates, exclusive photos, and regular update films from the writers and cast during production, pledge £10.00.
The campaign will reward higher donations with a variety of goodies including digital copies of the new episodes, DVDs, tote bags, dog tags, mugs. Donate enough money, and you may find your name in the credits. Some offers are limited, but the limits are clearly stated in the righthand sidebar.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Raised by Wolves TV series? Will you contribute to the Kickstarter campaign? Sound off, in the comments.
