The Real O’Neals finished its second season earlier this month, but what about season three? What do you think? Would you watch a third season of the ABC TV series?
The sitcom revolves around an Irish Catholic family whose lives are turned upside down when the middle son comes out of the closet and the rest of the family members come clean with their own secrets. The cast includes Martha Plimpton, Jay R. Ferguson, Noah Galvin, Matt Shively, Bebe Wood, and Mary Hollis Inboden.
ABC has not yet announced whether The Real O’Neals will be renewed for a third season or not. If the show’s ratings are an indicator, a renewal seems unlikely. Season two averaged a .93 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.068 million viewers, placing it in the bottom half of ABC’s 2016-2017 series.
However, ratings aren’t always the sole factor when it comes to a renewal. Tell us what you think. Are you a fan of The Real O’Neals? If renewed, would you watch a third season of the series?

I love the show. Wish it was around when I was a kid.
I would like to have a dollar for every time that kid says “I’m Gay.” Tired of hearing the same ol’ thing. Hate the show.
I love this show, great cast, funny and not afraid to show new and “Real” things going on for “Real”!!

I love this show it’s funny and deals with life issues that are in our daily world. The actor’s are great I’m a fan of Martha Plimpton I’ve followed her career for year’s, this show brings laughter into my life, please renew this program and keep good comedy on the air.
I loved season 1, but this season is kinda, meh, for me.

The first season was really great… Lots of promise, but it’s coasting on middle ground for most of S2… However ‘The Real Heartbreak’ in S2 was one of the best episodes of the series. If there was another season, I’d definitely watch, but I’m not sure other people would… The 9:30 time slot move definitely impacted the ratings, but the quality has dropped with them so… I’d want different writers and more character growth, but yeah, I’d watch.
I love it. It’s completely original and quite funny. I’d definitely miss it.
The world would be a better place if the series was cancelled. They lost over 3 million viewers since it aired. its ratings are a zero .8… if they don’t cancel this garbage it’s for reasons other than the dismal viewership.
So its safe to ASSUME that people dont like gay people? This show is good, just because its about gay teen doesnt mean its social wrong. Its only a show, dont take it heart Tim.
Imagine if they made a show like this that mocked Islam the way they did to Catholics. Imagine a show where someone in my homeland’s culture comes out. It’s not like Catholics are the ones throwing homosexuals off buildings. Catholics: what an easy target when all of Hollywood already does it. So cliche. But ABC doesn’t have the courage to take any real chances and make real social commentary.
But they dont ( what i know of ) what is wrong with homosexuals as main theme? Unless people are dont like gays etc.
It’s really sad to get personal and make a straw man argument that if you hate a garbage TV show that has a gay person in it you don’t like gays. I guess by that logic all people people don’t like Irish people if they don’t like the show. Or everyone that likes the show hates Catholics.

I watch it and think it is an okay sitcom and if there is another season I would probably watch but if they canceled it I wouldn’t be too upset
I can’t stand Noah Galvin, he does not represent the gay people at all, he represents himself only. Cancel this nightmare.
