On Resurrection, a small town in Missouri is turned upside down when deceased loved ones start to return. The cast includes Omar Epps, Kurtwood Smith, Frances Fisher, Devin Kelley, Matt Craven, Samaire Armstrong, Mark Hildreth, Sam Hazeldine, and Landon Gimenez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I love Resurrection. There is more thrown into the TV show than the original story from the book, The Returned. I hope that this series maintains its sense of small-town values, love and hope. I would not like to see it become some bland form of a science fiction tale. It should stay focused on the idea there is life after death (and no one is sure in what form). Love this series….stop cancelling good shows like this and making us watch the other stupidity like reality shows with no real substance. Am losing my faith in television if we keep getting greedy people wanting to get famous without ever knowing what a real performance is. This show makes you think for a change. The actors writers and producers are REAL professionals telling a stunning story. Keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you ! ! I thought I was the only one that thought like this; with the proliferation of reality shows. I know it’s economics. Remember the writers’ strike ? Next, here come the reality shows. Can’t shake them. You want to know why? Watch “on the street” segments on Jimmy Kemmel and Watters World on O’Reilly on Fox News Channel, it says it all.

The problem is not with the shows. The problem is how ABC handles it’s new shows. They promote the crap out of them for months until people are sick of the show before it even airs and then they cancel it before it has time to build an audience. I’ve never seen a network cancel so many shows. I’ll just start getting into something and then they’ll cancel it. Hence what I said about them not giving the shows time to build an audience. I love this show, watch Once Upon a Time, Resurrection, and Revenge all in a row. I caught Believe, so now I am recording that for later viewing-as it is also very good. Having lost a son, I am emotionally vested in this one. Please, wrap it up intelligently if you are going to cancel it.
