ABC hasn’t had much success with sitcoms on Tuesday nights but they’re going to try again. Will Selfie be a hit in the ratings or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Selfie TV show, social media superstar Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan) realizes that she’s disconnected from the real parts of her life and enlists her company’s marketing guru, Henry Higgs (John Cho), for help. The rest of the cast includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Allyn Rachel, Tim Peper, Natasha Henstridge, and David Harewood.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. So bummed. Great remake of a classic love story! A shame it was cancelled before it had a chance to catch on.
I really like this show. It’s hard to catch it because I am busy on Tuesday, have to wait for ABC to post episodes online. I hope it’s not true, I hope they keep the show. It’s hard to find light comedy now a days.
They post new episodes on Hulu.com every Tuesday but you don’t have to watch it only on Tuesday. Check them out. This week’s episode was HUGE! Loved the ending as it shows you where it’s going and i love it.
Selfie was a pretty awesome show should be renewed
My daughter and I made Tuesday night our Girls Night In with dinner and then Selfie followed by The Manhattan Love Story. We loved those shows! We are so upset to find out they were both cancelled. Please being them back we need some good comedies instead of shows that cater to bad language, sex & murder.
I love it and will have to sign up for Hulu if it is truly rescued there. 🙁
I really liked the show Selfie. It was unique and original.
Its to bad they don’t ask people who watch shows on their computers what they watch I for one like about three shows on Tuesday night and one of them is Selfie. I didn’t think I would like it but it turned out to be a cute show and what goes on with people that take selfies. I for do not so it gave me an insight. I’m watching selfie right now and I love it. It’s really funny and sweet. I feel so sad that it’s gonna be cancelled:(
I love Selfie. I got into it three episodes in online, but I love it!!! I want to see the relationship between Henry and Eliza develop. It’s funny and clever and makes my Tuesday night. It’s a great opener before I watch The New Girl and the Mindy Project. I don’t like the show that comes on after Selfie, but I really hope they keep this show. It so deserves a second season.
I love Selfie, I was not even going to watch it but decided to watch the pilot before it aired on TV, on Hulu. It is so funny and the characters a great. I love the chemistry between the two main characters and how awkward people are on here, like the boss this week. It is my favorite new show this season! I am distrusting and not a fan of Twitter, FB or other social media networks. That said, I have to admit, that at first, I was intrigued by the concept and possibilities of Selfie, but completely turned off by its pairing with the very, very weak Manhattan Love Story (can you tell, I’m not a fan?). As a result, I hadn’t really given Selfie much of a chance. Also, pitted against the behemoth that is NCIS, Tuesdays at 8 is a tough slot for ANY new show. i recently started watching selfie online and i love i’m already waiting for tuesday!
What a waste .There are people starving and this show is a meaningless attempt to show how people use there brain if they had one.
I don’t know why you’re politicizing this, there are far worse shows than this that are aired regularly. Like it or not, there will always be people who are starving. Who’s going to change it…you??
It isn’t very good and the viewership will drop week by week. Use your viewing time more wisely and avoid this one.

What about the new Live+3 lifts — you should include those as well — as those ratings are playing a big deal this season. — the 1.4 could very well be a 3.0 with the lift
The simple reason is that that data is harder to locate on a regular basis. The networks tout the +3 day and +7 day numbers but at this point I have a hard time believing they play that big of a role in their decisions to cancel or renew a show. Remember, fewer people watch commercials when they’ve recorded a show and that’s what the networks and advertisers care the most about. the same logic applies to online viewing, the popular shows will be watched the most and the horrible ones the least.
Are you kidding? The advertisers are acceptig Live +7 as legit ratings. Why do you think “Forever” was renewed despite weak 18-49 ratings? Because it was boosted a lot by its Live +7 numbers . Same with SHIELD or it’d be in danger of being cancelled.
