Although the Silicon Valley TV show on HBO doesn’t pull in big ratings, and its numbers have dropped sharply, it performs better than many of the pay-cable network’s other comedy series. Before worrying about cancellation, keep in mind that HBO has renewed shows with much smaller audiences. Last summer, co-creator Mike Judge said he thought they’d go at least six seasons, while executive producer Alec Berg sounded like he thought it could go beyond that. Will they get to take the story to its natural conclusion? Will Silicon Valley be cancelled or renewed for season six? Stay tuned.
An HBO sitcom, Silicon Valley stars Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer, and Jimmy O. Yang. The story centers on the lives of a group of IT developers, who live together in Northern California. In the fifth season, Pied Piper has sufficient funding for decent offices and additional staff. Now it is time to introduce its peer-to-peer internet to the world. Of course, this new level of success comes with a brand new set of challenges. **Status update, below.
