Star Trek is still months away from its premiere on CBS, but fans are receiving a new teaser for the series. Empire Online shared a new poster for the series and SpoilerTV captured a video.
However, the new images released over the weekend are to promote the series to advertisers only. According to Trek Core, the images were put together by the CBS sales department, and not the creative team behind the series.
The video is essentially the ending of the Star Trek: Enterprise series with a similar generic graphic added to the end (you can see the original Enterprise ending below).
Neither reveal any details for the new series. Fans are waiting to find out what the series will involve. Is it possible viewers could see a new Enterprise travel through space?
The new Star Trek series will premiere in January on CBS and then move to the network’s digital service, CBS All Access. Fans will have to wait to see something from the actual production.

I want to see what happens after voyager. Enough with the prequels already. The old stories have been told. Dont bring them back up. Start with somethign completely new and after voyagers time
I have always dreamed of a series called Star Trek Federation where they write shows based on various federation races rather than follow one crew around. (ex: story that takes place on a klingon scout ship or the vulcan planet). That would allow for some cool guess stars and not have to keep a fixed cast on payroll. It would also leave the story potential wide open. Maybe the new series is something like that? Hey, I can dream…
I’m looking forward to it. If it is as well made as the Paramount series, faithful to the ethos, bringing excellent science fiction storytelling, and making a creative extension to the Star Trek universe, it will be a hit.
I am super excited for a new Star Trek. Series. Please make it authentic and original but don’t rewrite history. Flashbacks to other Star Trek series would be nice and perhaps time travel to the past could be incorporated.
