Taken is making some major cast changes. TVLine reports Clive Standen and Jennifer Beals will be the only two stars returning for season two of the NBC TV show.
A prequel to the Liam Neeson film franchise, the action drama stars Clive Standen as a younger Bryan Mills, a former Green Beret who embarks on a quest for vengeance after a major tragedy. The cast also includes Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Simu Liu, and Ali Kazami.
According to TVLine, six season one regulars will not be returning for Taken‘s upcoming second season. They include Gaius Charles (John), Brooklyn Sudano (Asha), Monique Gabriela Curnen (Vlasik), Michael Irby (Scott), Jose Pablo Cantillo (Dave), and James Landry Hébert (Rem).
That means Standen and Beals will be joined by an all-new cast next season. The massive cast change possibly comes from new showrunner Greg Plageman, who reportedly has a “new vision” for the [su_nbc]NBC[/su_nbc] TV show.
What do you think? Did you see season one of Taken? Do you think the cast changes will benefit the low-rated series?
