Taken is coming to the small screen. A prequel series is in the works at NBC, and the stars of the series have now been cast.
According to The Wrap, Jennifer Beals and Clive Standen will star in the series. The news outlet shared more about the series and Beals’ role.
“Beals will star as Christina Hart, the Special Deputy Director of National Intelligence who has taken Bryan Mills (Standen) under her wing. Cultured and powerful with a wealth of field experience, she oversees an elite team of operatives who take care of America’s national security emergencies.”
Beals was last seen on TNT’s Proof, which was cancelled after just one season. She has also set up a recurring role on another NBC series. She will appear during season three of The Night Shift.

I LOVE Jennifer Beals ! I was excited about the series Chicago Code, in which she starred, and then it was cancelled… I absolutely loved Proof, in which she starred, and then it was cancelled…. I’m OK with The Night Shift… maybe Beals can bring some extra pizzazz to it…. I’ll be watching Taken…. hopefully it will be a bit more interesting than the Liam Neeson versions. Beals is an overlooked, under-appreciated talent, who deserves another look.
I will definitely watch!
