As you may recall, ABC started running The Assets on January 2nd but pulled the limited series after just two epipsdes had aired. Now, the network has announced that the show will be returning this summer — for a little while.
The network will start airing the remaining six episodes on Saturday, June 21st, at 9pm. Here’s the schedule:
Saturday, June 21st – “Trip to Vienna”
Saturday, June 28th – “What’s Done is Done”
Saturday, July 5th – “Check Mate”
Saturday, July 12th – “Small Useless Truth”
Saturday, July 19th – “The Straw Poll”
Saturday, July 26st – “Avenger”
The first two episodes are available for viewing online at Hulu.com.
The Assets revolves around the real life events of CIA counter-intelligence officers Sandy Grimes (Jodie Whittaker) and Jeanne Vertefeuille (Harriet Walter) and their search for the most notorious traitor in US History, Aldrich Ames (Paul Rhys). Others in the cast include Stuart Milligan, Julian Ovenden, Christina Cole, and Ralph Brown.

ABC is acting ridicilous. Like a spoiled kid. Make up your confused minds about this. Cant believe how you fool people back just to hang them out to dry again. I hope you lose a whole lot of viewers over this! I sure wont watch ANYTHING on ABC, ever again. No matter what it is. May you cease to exist.
I agree with the above comments. Networks don’t give shows a chance to gain an audience, and most of what is on the major networks is worse than watching grass grow. Almost everytime an intelligent show with some promise of intellectual interest comes on, it disappears shortly after. thank heaven for Netflix and the like. i’ve been watching episodes of tv series from years ago like The Guardian and Raising The Bar which are head and shoulders above just about anyting on now, except for The Goodwife and Suits. I found this show accidentally on OnDemand, after it had already been cancelled. I had never seen any ads for it. It is ABC’s fault it wasn’t well received because ABC did not sell it. I was so excited to see it back this summer so I could finally see the rest of the series! Then after 3 eps. it disappeared? Come on. Measly little Saturday night and only a few episodes left anyway. In regards of the show Assets, when it originally came on I got really into the show since I like shows regarding espionage, for example like Nikita and Alias, which they ran their course and/or cancelled which were a bummer!!! Assets came on then it came off so abruptly. When I saw it coming back on for a mini-series again at the end of June, 2014, I planned heavenly to watch the shows. Just started watching this show and now I’m hooked. I hate to hear the ABC canceled this series so early, I didn’t feel they gave it a chance.

What is going on with this series? Episodes aren’t played. Very frustrating. I want to see the rest of the episodes.
Our local ABC station in Charlotte, NC did not show the remaining shows on Saturday. Instead the have shown #3  on Sunday afternoon. It’s been two more weeks and no more shows. I find this show very interesting and I would most likely buy it if it were to come out on DVD.
I suggest we all inundate ABC with suggestions that they stop jerking viewers around about this show.
I love this show and so does my husband and he NEVER watched anything but sports. He keeps asking me about next episode. Don’t pull this, it’s good. Please finish the episodes.

The show is good. I agree with the sentiments above. To suck people in and then yank the show before the story ends is very torturous. Had I known that I wouldn’t have bothered to watch the show.
I’ve been out of town but set this show to tape while I was gone. Dammit! If I’d known you were going to pull a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ stunt I wouldn’t have bothered in the first place. I love love love “The Assetts” and its frustrating me that ABC keeps airing it and then yanking it. Please put the rest of the episodes on demand already. This show is so good I just want to watch the rest of it already.
