canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

The Biggest Loser: Glory Days Ratings

Published: January 30, 2015

Biggest Loser: Glory Days TV show ratingsNBC has been having ratings problems on Thursday nights for years. Now, they’ve decided to try moving their venerable series The Biggest Loser to that night. Will the numbers hold up or could this move cause the ratings to fall low enough for the show to be cancelled? We’ll have to wait and see.

On The Biggest Loser, contestants try to win a $250,000 prize by losing the highest percentage of body weight. This season, contestants are former top athletes who are trying to recapture their figures. Alison Sweeney returns as host but Jillian Michaels has left the show again. Returning trainers Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince are joined by Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

1/30 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The 15th season of The Biggest Loser averaged a 1.9 rating in the demo and 6.52 million viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

What do you think? Do you still like The Biggest Loser TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a 17th season?

I love the show, have watched from the beginning. Was disappointed in trainers this season. Bob and comeback should not have happened. Woody did awful, for as big as he is, should have lost double digits every week. He should not get the chance to win the big pot. New trainers..oh wow! My 10 year old asked, why is her chest was popping out? Jan must have something going on with the camera man. Keep Bob and Dolvet. I also agree with others that these people can afford to hire trainers, let them do so

I love the show. I think it is very inspiring for these contestants & for the rest of America. I think the new trainers are good to. They seem more compassionate, but stern. Which is what you need in a trainer. Please don’t cancel the show. I think it is great what this show has been doing to get America back on the fitness trail to take care of themselves.

Love the show. Would like to see the rest of season 15,The Glory Days . Like all the trainers, they all appear to be compassionate, but strong and tough. Disappointed that its not continuing. Bring it back. Any new seasons should bring people less fortunate, unable to afford for trainers etc. But I do love watching the show.

I love Biggest Loser. To see the stamina that each individual goes through is inspiring. I hope this show keeps going for years to come. I too think this show has helped a lot of people to get on the right fitness track. Please keep Biggest Loser!

Don’t cancel this show in the middle. Good or bad, finish it! Bad ratings? Learn from it, change it next time. Former athletes not my favorite, but I still want to see how they progress and end up. I’d like to see more about the cooking and what they eat, etc. along with the workouts.

I was so happy to se Jillian gone. She is so negative, and you can tell she has to work hard at being nice to the contestants. That said, not impressed with the new trainers, or Bobs last chance ranch. Dolvet is great wish they could just have him and Bob, the way it used to be and back to tuesday night please!

When this show goes up against Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal on ABC and NFL Football on CBS on the other….without Jillian Michaels?

Can you say Ratings Disaster?

Love it or hate it, it is getting crushed in the ratings and realistically cancellation is a very likely very likely scenario.

I love this show! This is the best and most motivating show on tv! It’s about health and we need that with the unhealthy nation we live in.. This show had helped millions of people lose weight. Yes it should be renewed for a17th,18th and so on…..

I won’t watch this season. I want to see real people. Not athletes who can get back into shape and make millions again.

Well I like Dolvette, strong trainer as always, Jen is pretty to look at for sure, and am still wondering how she will do as a trainer. Jeff? not so impressed with yet. And who did NOT know that Bob was going to be there?? Did not think I was going to watch this season as I am not a fan of BL taking people who have the means to pay for trainers themselves and get the work done. The professional NFL’ers are taking spots that people with far less means could have used. My big complaint last season when… Read more »
