If you can’t wait until the December 14th premiere of Syfy’s new series The Expanse, you’re in luck. The network is premiering the sci-fi pilot two weeks early online and on VOD streaming services.
The series follows Detective Miller (Thomas Jane), who is assigned to track down a missing young woman (Florence Faivre) in a solar system set 200 years in the future.
The Expanse is based on the novel series by James S.A. Corey and additionally stars Steven Straight, Dominique Tipper, and Cas Anver.

Love the books, was waiting to be disappointed with a tv version, but I thought the pilot was pretty good, the characters a little different…Holden and Amos traded in for much younger fancier versions than in the book…otherwise I look forward to the series.
considering that this is actual Sci Fi on the Syfy channel which is what I think what most people want I’m thinking this show will do well, it already has a large following of the book readers going for it too. I watched the pilot and it is the best looking sci go show since Battlestar Galactica and that show was huge, so people get the word out about The Expanse!
I’ve read the books and this opening episode follows pretty well, as these characters build and some things that happened get explained it is a great story some crazy stuff happens.. It looks like a good start and doesn’t skip anything so I will be watching it. The books are very good. The you dont read but lke syfi this is a good place to start.

Why even bother starting watching it? If it’s good, they’ll cancel it, as proven by the fact they recently canceled the best show which had aired on their network in years, Dominion! I gave up on SyFy, when they canceled Dominion. I’m not going back.
Seems like alot of drama, and suspense. I plan on watching this. Hope SyFy doesnt screw up and cancel this show too.
