Last year, ABC began airing Resurrection — a series about people returning from the dead, based on the book The Returned by Jason Mott. It did well in its first season but tanked in the ratings in season two and is sure to be cancelled. Now, A&E has unveiled their own show called The Returned, based on the French TV show Les Revenants. Will it survive to see a second season or will it be cancelled? Stay tuned.
On The Returned, the residents of a small town have their lives turned upside down when some of their loved ones appear to return from the dead. The cast includes Mark Pellegrino, Tandi Wright, Jeremy Sisto, India Ennenga, Sophie Lowe, Mat Vairo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kevin Alejandro, Sandrine Holt, Dylan Kingwell, Aaron Douglas, Rhys Ward, Leah Gibson, Agnes Bruckner, and Michelle Forbes.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

I love this show! The Returned is a great show. I’ve gotten three of my friends into it and my fiancé two of his friends. My fiancé doesn’t watch TV, except for The Returned. It really sucks when a truly good show is not given a chance to be a truly great show. I think I’m done with A&E. I love how they leave the viewers hanging with season 1. The viewers are at the mercy of the television execs. It matters not if we get a finished story line. The best way to hit these execs is to quit watching their shows all together and then they do not get sponsorship money at all. It gets tiresome some of the television the networks keep on while cancelling shows that have real interests and some complex stories to them. Thank GOD for premium channels who recognize the value in their complex stories and their viewers who love them.

Please air season 2. Love this show. Definitely want to know what happens next. A&E viewers who enjoy paranormal, etc., should definitely give The Returned a chance! Please DO NOT cancel it!

I think it should come back for a second season. I watched that show witches of eastend on lifetime and they canceled it after two seasons so please don’t do this show that way I really got into it. Love the show look forward of it returning
