Longmire follows the life of a Wyoming county sheriff who’s returned to work following his wife’s demise. With the support of his family and co-workers, he solves cases and works to stay in office. The cast includes Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
8/28 update: Longmire has been cancelled by A&E after three seasons. However…
11/19 update: Netflix has picked up the series for a fourth season.
Final season averages: 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.52 million total viewers.

The shows are gripping but overall, it is a “dark” show to me. It focuses around awful crimes with the main actors and actress all have depressing family issues. Leaves me in state of despair and low view of humanity. Feel it may prosper sone who’ve had tough and abusive life with a sense of, “Hey! My life really wasn’t so bad!”
really enjoyed this series, too bad you are taking this off, probably will put some stupid program to replace it

Love the show. Great characters. Walt is a lot like the Mentalist in that h sees through people.
I absolutely enjoy this show so much – the protagonist is a Gary Cooper kind of man and as easy going as he might appear, he gets his man or woman. A total modern day Western complete with cell phones. Honestly, I will be saddened if Longmire goes off the air. Finishing the third season with one more episode on Netflix. Guess I’ll have to start all over again.
If A&E are that STUPID to cancell a top rating TV series, Longmire, count me out!! Their channel does not exist on my list!!
I didn’t look through all the posts to see if anyone has mentioned it yet, but as someone else that is just so upset with A&E and how they cancel things after a cliffhanger (The Glades, Longmire and countless others over the years) I thought everyone would like to hear that they said that the new season of Longmire will start on Netflix in November!!!!! Yes, they were able to pick the show up on Netflix and seeing how many people were so mad , like me, I am sure everyone will eventually cancel their cable and start watching everything… Read more »
I’m with you. It’s getting where we only watch Netflix and am always upset when a season ends on a cliffhanger and we’re never sure if we’ll end the real finale finale. Longmire MUST STAY! Thanks for the heads up about November.
It is for sure A&E that pulls the plug on shows that move at a steady pace instead of waiting to see how they will do a few seasons in. Had this been USA they would have beat it to death LOL! Where did you see a Nov. date for S4 of Longmire on Netflix? As far as I knew they had not released a date yet for S4, speculation has been early Fall.

I want to say it was from a tv guide like site as sometimes I get updates in my email but, I will look and see if I can find the source;) Most of the articles that I have seen just say the second part or later part if the year. I hope I can find the answer for you so I don’t feel like a complete jerk for posting something that may not be true;(
