NBC has renewed The Sing-Off, their a capella competition series, for a fifth season. THR reports that casting is currently underway.
It’s unclear how many episodes will be produced, when they’ll air or if any of the judges or hosts will return.
Last time around, NBC aired The Sing-Off in December, over seven nights leading up the Christmas. Season four featured Nick Lachey as host with Shawn Stockman, Ben Folds with Jewel as judges.
The peacock network plans to air their live version of the Peter Pan musical on December 4th.

Please bring The Sing-Off back!! My entire family loves to watch it and looks forward to it every yesr…very-worth while television! The music competition is excellent and showcases such amazing groups like Pentatonix..that’s where we fell in love with that group and have been advid followers of their music ever since! Please bring the Sing-Off back…we need excellent worrh-while programs like this on television!!

I love this show and am very happy that it will return. I only wish that NBC would air more episodes. I my opinion this show is far better than the voice and American idol as well as some of the shows like x-factor and rising star which were awful but yet given a lot more rope to find a audience. Hopefully NBC will see the errors of it’s ways and keep this very important cultural show on the air more than just a week!!
