A historical drama, Turn: Washington’s Spies didn’t do very well in the ratings in its first season and the numbers got even worse last year. AMC has continued to renew it anyway. Will the ratings rise or fall even lower this time around? Cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned.
Taking place during the American Revolutionary War, Turn: Washington Spies follows a group of friends who become spies and help turn the tide of the war. The cast includes Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Heather Lind, Daniel Henshall, Kevin McNally, Burn Gorman, Samuel Roukin, JJ Feild, Meegan Warner, Angus MacFadyen, Ian Kahn, Ksenia Solo, Owain Yeoman, Nick Westrate, Idara Victor, John Carroll Lynch, and Stephen Root.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Out of curiosity, do the ratings factor in DVR recordings or Netflix/Hulu/Amazon, etc?
I know I have TURNED my friends, they in TURN have TURNED their other friends.
Anyway, this show should see the war’s end. Why cut it before its end? I mean, it’s not like the show can go forever. The war ends. If not for its steadily growing base (albeit slow…but still steady), then what about for high school social studies classes?

I can not believe that AMC cancelled TURN-Washington’s Spies! It is one of the best shows on TV and my favorite. The writing and acting is artfully done. It makes me proud, as a Virginian, that the show is filmed in my state. Ratings are probably down because there isn’t nudity or gays making love as shown on other popular shows. The show needed more promotion….maybe more educated viewers would have boosted ratings. I hope AMC will reconsider and renew TURN.
AMC needs to fire up the promotion for this show!
In my humble opinion it is one of the best shows on TV today.
The writing is brilliant ,the acting is superb and it is a lot of of fun to watch.my husband and I always look forward to it on Monday nights, I also DVR it and watch it a couple more times for fun.
It greatly disappoints me that the ratings are poor at the moment.
People should give this show a chance .
AMC should keep it on as well.

Wonderful show – one of my all time favorites. Beautifully written and acted. I don’t know why there isn’t more advertising or promotion. Please, please, AMC keep this on. It will have a natural conclusion at the end of the revolutionary war.

Turn: Washington’s Spies is the best television show I’ve ever watched. I’m a huge fan. This show deserves more promotion. Consider doing an hour long special like the show Once Upon a Time airs each year preceding the season premiere. It is a good summary of the entire show’s plot that allows new viewers to start watching with an understanding of what has already occurred. This could be done for Turn. Turn indeed is a great story. I think it’s current time slot makes it difficult for it to compete with the other networks shows, however that said, I think with an adjustment in viewing day/time and as stated by others a bit more advertising during AMC’s other shows in my opinion this show will increase its ratings share. Again I find the story engaging, entertaining, and at the end of each night’s show making me count the days till the next episode airs. AMC please keep this show going it is a great one!
My wife, whom is Hispanic with Apache roots, from TX, and having little interest in history, watched S1E1 with me one recent weekend and was so intrigued with the show that we binged TURN the rest of the weekend until caught up! She was sad there were no more episodes to watch. We live in VA and like that we are not far from “Founders history.” Season 4 needed!!!
AMC needs to consider a new time slot for Turn. There are a large percentage of us who watch “on demand” a day later at a more reasonable time. I am vested in the success of this show. AMC needs to renew TURN. It’s such a fabulous story, we’ll written, we’ll researched and with an extremely loyal following. I don’t know who watches and isn’t intrigued. Most of us in our discussion group have always been interested in history but we have found new passion for all history through watching this show.
AMC should be promoting this show as a timely reminder of what was sacrificed to bring about the unique experiment of The United States of America.
I love turn. It’s greatly written. It has a great cast.it also has a great story of something that actually happened vs something that will NEVER happen (twd). Amc you need to advertise this more . I found it out on a fluke. At least keep it till the war is over.
