The show is very childish. The music, the “acting”, the story lines come across as written by a bunch of middle school art students. Scene changes are a disaster and the jokes and dialogue are very badly written and poorly performed. Basically this show is a joke on the public. Anyone who watches it on a regular basis is being greatly deceived.

It’s really funny and it’s actually not that shallow… But to the person saying its bad for society… That’s kind of funny because these are adults and if they wanna drink all day everyday it’s fine because its not sending a message that kids should drink.. Besides this show isn’t meant for kids.. It’s for adults and if an adult is being influenced to drink wine all day from a show their problem isn’t watching the wrong shows. I love the show because all the characters have such great personalities and its just fun.. I hope they can get at least a few more seasons

By the time the show aired, I believe many of us were sick of seeing all the commercial ads for the show. Also, I think it is bad for society to have a show about wine-aholics that appear to have eating disorders. I was a fan Courtney Cox while she was on friends, but refuse to watch a show that promotes drinking….especially in this day & age of DUIs & addictions.

The show is not about wineaholics and eating disorders. If you don’t want you or your kids to watch it, turn the channel.

Cougar Town is NOT a “new” sitcom (vs. those that are making their debut). It is in it’s fourth season. It IS new to TBS but it is not a new show and therefore, would not have the curiosity factor that draws a lot more people to any premier (pilot). Therefore, you are not comparing apples-to-apples. The proof will be in the episodes that follow, once you weed out those checking out a sitcom that is airing for the very first time. So before you go off and declare “MEDIOCRE “, let’s give it a couple of weeks and see what happens.
