What’s in store for American Crime? TVLine reports the ABC TV series will explore “women in the workplace” if it is renewed for a fourth season.
The anthology drama is currently in its third season, which focuses on issues concerning poverty and undocumented workers. The cast includes Regina King, Felicity Huffman, Connor Jessup, Richard Cabral, and Benito Martinez.
During a recent panel, executive producer Michael McDonald mentioned American Crime will explore sexual harassment in the workplace if ABC renews the series for a fourth season. That, however, seems unlikely.
So far, season three of American Crime is performing poorly in the ratings. Currently, the show is averaging a .40 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 1.942 million viewers, making it ABC’s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.

My Wife and I look forward to this every week. Of course we aren’t in the 18 to 49 demographic that seems to only enjoy alternative life styles and sexual innuendo with 3rd rate actors. Sorry to see it go.
This is one of very few shows that touches current topics in a serious method that makes you examine your ethics/morals.

It would be a spam to cancel this show. It is timely & well acted & relevant to a lot of timely topics. Way better than some of those vapid programs.
American Crime – the best show on TV. So good, it’s like watching Public Television! Watch it every week since the beginning. Great stories, great writing and great acting. Love the fact that same actors appear year after year. Don’t cancel this important program.

This is by far the best series on broadcast, perhaps ever. People behaving as real people do; acting from their point of view and often hurting themselves and the ones they love. Doesn’t get closer to real life than this.
One of the few really good shows on tv. It makes you think and examine real life issues. I hope it returns next season.

I had hope for network TV with this show. American Crime should be on HBO, Showtime, Netflix, or Hulu where it can be appreciated by those who look for quality, well written, well acted programming with timely and important subject matter. ABC you lose.
