Aquarius will not air its second season on NBC until later this year, but the future already has its future planned out. David Duchovny, who stars on the NBC series, spoke about the future of the NBC drama during an interview with Variety.
How many seasons does Aquarius want to have on the air? Five, according to Duchovny. He said:
“John McNamara, the creator and showrunner, has five 13-episode seasons in mind,” he says. “If we’re lucky and enough people get involved and watch us, we’ll get to do five. It would be a shame not to. The investment is in the first couple of years, heading towards the catastrophic events of the Tate-LaBianca murders with the Manson family. It’s really the aftermath of that that’s the heart of the show. I hope we get to do it.”
Just yesterday, TV Series Finale reported that Amanda Brooks had been cast in the role of Sharon Tate. Are you a fan of this NBC drama? Would you like to see five seasons? Tell us what you think.
I love this show.I hope it goes all5 season’s. I hate getting into a show then having it canceled right when it gets really interesting.
Great show..a realistic look at the times…..much better than Vinyl. Creepy look at Manson and his ties with politicians and the music industry. Can’t wait to see more.
YES!!! Please renew this show!! Just love t:)
I really am enjoying the show- it gives a new twist to the Charles Manson story. I have always enjoyed David Duchovny and hope to see more from him in the future. I would be deliriously happy with 13 seasons!!!
I love the show
I love this show
I am enjoying the serise on Netflix. Please don’t cancel the show
Great show and I want to see lots more of it.
Loved this show!! Yes please do 5 seasons! Acting was sensational!
Awesome show getter done from east texas
The cast is superb. It’s so interesting watching the beginnings of Charles Manson and his relationship with the young women who eventually took part in the Sharon Tate murders. Definitely keeping it going for at least five seasons.
Having grown up in the sixties, I have to say AQUARIUS gets it right. It doesn’t go for the cartoonish kitsch approach I usually see. For all the songs about love and happiness on the radio there was always an undercurrent of darkness. If the show seems schizophrenic at times, well, those were the days my friend. Great cast, cinematography and mood. I’m in.
Yes, I love this show. Please bring it back!
Yes please! We love this show! I will definitely watch all five seasons. Thanks!
My husband and I love this show, and hope it’s renewed for many more seasons!
After watching the first season of Aquarius, I’m ready for more. I am 67 years old, disabled former Marine from Vietnam in 1968-69. This show takes place during the times I was out of the country. I think the producers have hit on some real history of our country, and people should watch and feel what was going on.
We’re ready for more.
Thanks
Thank you for your service Ken. My dad was there 68-72 as a helicopter mechanic. Love Duchovny, just not so much time between seasons!
Awh- my dad was a helicopter crew chief, but before Vietnam. He was stationed in Germany. Just last week we were able to attend an incredibly moving service in Texas with The Tree of Life Church and The Traveling Wall. So many lost and so many still here looking and waiting – Thank You For Your Service. All of You.
