Aquarius will not air its second season on NBC until later this year, but the future already has its future planned out. David Duchovny, who stars on the NBC series, spoke about the future of the NBC drama during an interview with Variety.
How many seasons does Aquarius want to have on the air? Five, according to Duchovny. He said:
“John McNamara, the creator and showrunner, has five 13-episode seasons in mind,” he says. “If we’re lucky and enough people get involved and watch us, we’ll get to do five. It would be a shame not to. The investment is in the first couple of years, heading towards the catastrophic events of the Tate-LaBianca murders with the Manson family. It’s really the aftermath of that that’s the heart of the show. I hope we get to do it.”

I really hope Aquarius will be renewed for additional seasons. The acting, music, writing and cinamatography are all very well done!

Gotta get it finished.. Duke is excellent, great character. The storyline sequence has some gliches, but the story just moves right along…… Please let this angelino see the story to the end.

I’m still waiting for the status of a season 3 for the show Aquarius. It’s a very good TV show, I hope NBC picks it up for season three. Everything from the writing, acting and directing is excellent!
I absolutely LOVE this show. David Duchovny is one of my fave actors all the way back to X-Files. He is awesome in this role. I am really into this show, all the actors are on their a game. Please bring it back for season 3 and beyond.
I am set to see all FIVE SEASONS of Aquarius- I am involved with the shows content, having been in 9th grade when the Tate-LaBianca murders occurred. Charles Manson was front and center in the news, Nixon, Vietnam Nam, all of the material shown so far has touched a chord with me. Please do us all a favor. Leave this thought provoking drama on for the summers to come. It is a breath of fresh air over all the reality shows and brainless TV programs to choose from. This a a great series and David Duchovny a master at is craft.I hope this series goes beyond five seasons
Not as what happened to Magic City which was a great show that was cancelled after only two seasons
Crazy that very mediocre shows go on for season after season
