Could there be a Banshee spin-off? Recently, showrunner Jonathan Tropper discussed his plans for the recently ended Cinemax series.
The action drama starred Antony Starr as an ex-con who assumes the identity of a small-town sheriff. The cast also included Ben Cross, Ivana Milicevic, Rus Blackwell, Ryann Shane, and Ulrich Thomsen. Banshee aired its final episode on May 20th.
When asked if he had any plans for a spin-off series, Tropper said there have been informal talks:
There are no investors, other than Cinemax. We have had some offhanded talks about it, but nothing in television really comes from talks like that. I think the only way any kind of spin-off or sequel would happen would be if I had a very clear vision of a great new show featuring some of these characters, and I would have to pitch it to Cinemax like any other show.”
He added that he would be open to a spin-off with Starr:
I don’t think we will be doing any spin-offs, but I’m always open to it. And if we did, I couldn’t imagine doing it without Antony.”

I’m so bummed out. Was looking for something to watch and came across Banshee and got hooked immediately. Binge watched in 2 days. Love this show. I finally found a great show only to hear it was canceled. Please bring it back!!

Why this isn’t as well known as The Sopranos I have no idea. It’s a shame that the series won’t continue. Very grateful for it’s existence just the same.

Banshee was a pleasant surprise. So underrated. A spinoff would be warmly welcomed in my opinion.i miss that show

I love the program I want it back on and ended in season 4 can’t we have a season 5 and 6 and 7 like Walking Dead please bring it back .
Please do a spinoff from Banchee!! We just watched all the seasons today and realized that there is not a show that even comes close to how very much this show keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was superb!
I think the series Banshee was an awesome show series to watch. I was very disappointed to hear that there was no further series going to take place or filmed. However if Bsnshee returns with a series with the same actors I will so over joyed… again awesome series so very sad it ended.
