The BrainDead TV show has been cancelled after its first season on CBS. Deadline reports the summer series’ cancellation is due to low ratings. No surprise, there.
A comedic political thriller, the BrainDead cast includes: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, Tony Shalhoub, Nikki M. James, Johnny Ray Gill, Charlie Semine, and Jan Maxwell.
Created by The Good Wife‘s Robert and Michelle King, BrainDead is set in the world of Washington, DC politics. Fresh-faced, Laurel Healy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has returned home to Washington, DC to work for her brother, Senator Luke Healy (Danny Pino) on Capitol Hill.

I really liked this quirkey show. Well developed characters, great onscreen chemestry between the main characters…CBS this is just SAD.
I thought it started out weird but around the third or fourth episode, I was starting to come around to liking it. Sorry to hear that it was cancelled.

My daughter and I were eagerly awaiting Season 2. She is 12. We are both disappointed. I know colleagues of mine liked the show too.
It would be great if BrainDead were picked up by another network. Or at least a movie or two made.

Loved Good Wife not so crazy about brain dead. I like the premise of those in Washington being brain dead, but it never seemed to come together. I like Mary Elizabeth Winstead however, would like to see in a new series.

Unbelievable. This show should have been renewed. It’s such a quirky show, probably most had no idea what it was about. Shows like this need more informative promotions.
As other have mentioned, the current state of affairs in our nation’s capital makes this show more revalent than ever. There is so much more this show could have been…..sad.
