E! has ordered the Catching Kelce TV series. Women from each of the 50 United States will compete for the affections of Travis Kelce of the NFL‘s Kansas City Chiefs. While E! does not address it — if this is a legitimate (and successful) search for love, shouldn’t the show end up cancelled after one season?
E! says while Kelce will be joined by famous friends and family to help him make his choice, ultimately, only he can select his lifelong teammate. The first eight episode season of Catching Kelce, produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment, is slated to premiere later in 2016

E! GREENLIGHTS “CATCHING KELCE,” A DATING COMPETITION SHOW WITH A TWIST FEATURING NFL SUPERSTAR TRAVIS KELCE
The Eight-Episode Series Will Follow The All-Star Tight End As He Dates 50 Women From 50 States In The Hopes Of Finding Love
Los Angeles, CA – January 28, 2016 – E! has greenlit the new dating competition series “Catching Kelce,” featuring Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar tight end and 2016 Pro Bowl Select, Travis Kelce. 50 eligible women, one from each US state, will be invited to Los Angeles as this fun-loving athlete searches for that special someone to become his lifelong “teammate.” Kelce will be joined by famous friends and family to help him along his journey, but in the series finale, only he can decide who is the right woman for him. The one-hour, 8 episode series produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment is slated to premiere later this year.
While Kelce will be deciding who stays in the house and who is sent home along the way, this dating series has a twist… the women are able to strategically decide who is attending the VIP dates. The debate becomes: do you pick your friends and keep those loyalties strong, or choose the “weakest” contenders to make yourself stand out? Lines will be drawn and friendships will be tested as the women pick and choose who gets the extra time with this football superstar.
“On top of being a well-respected athlete, Travis has a fun-loving, over the top personality that draws people to him, and we are excited to give our viewers an up-close look at his search for love,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Programming and Development, E! “Through shows like our hit series ‘WAGS,’ the E! audience has experienced the glamour, drama and competition of the elite sports star lifestyle. Now we are bringing a fresh look at that world from not only the perspectives of women who want to be part of it, but also the pro-athlete himself as he tries to find a partner who can handle everything that comes with being a WAG.”
Travis Kelce is currently the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. At 6-foot-5 and 260lbs, Deadspin named him the next revolutionary tight end, and NFL Spin Zone has named him one of the brightest stars to come to the tight end position in recent history, not just for his playing ability, but also for his energy and charisma on and off the field. In his first full year on the Kansas City Chiefs, he had 67 catches, 862 yards, and five touchdowns to lead all the Chiefs, while his 503 yards after catch led all NFL tight ends. In 2014 AND 2015, Kelce was a top vote getter for “Touchdown Dance of the Year.” Off the field, the NFLPA has named him one of their “Community Players of the Year.” Dedicated to his charity Eighty-Seven & Running, Travis spends much of his time working with less fortunate kids throughout the city. All this, at just 25 years of age, in the beginning stages of an elite NFL career.
“Catching Kelce” is produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment. Ben Newmark and Dan Newmark of Grandma’s House Entertainment, Scott Langerman of ACE Media, and Lauren Stevens are Executive Producers. Adam Bold and Mike Lopez of Grandma’s House Entertainment will serve as Producers.
