Telly’s Take
As we all know, Shemar Moore left the series last year after 11 seasons. Then, surprisingly, Thomas Gibson was fired and his character was written out of the show. I’ve been wondering how that upheaval would affect Criminal Minds’ ratings. Season 12 is down in the ratings but season 11 dropped about the same percentages when compared to season 10. While many viewers were upset about Gibson’s dismissal, the numbers haven’t seen a bigger than usual drop. It’s still one of CBS’ top-rated scripted series and, now that Moore and Gibson have left the show, episodes may have gotten cheaper to produce. I’m confident that Criminal Minds will return for a lucky season 13.

They were essential too. ABC & CBS need to let go of their pride/ego and admit that it was a bad decision to suspend Mr. Gibson and then made it totally unaware to all viewers and Mr. Gibson himself, that he was fired. Was that fair to him and us? Mr. Gibson and the writer are gone. Have you asked yourself who was the most loyal?… Read more »
