As fans may already know, CBS has pulled the Doubt TV show from their schedule after only two episodes, making the show effectively cancelled. What do you think? Did the network end the series too soon?
The legal drama stars Katherine Heigl as Sadie Ellis, an ambitious attorney who falls for one of her clients, a pediatric surgeon accused of murdering his girlfriend. The cast also includes Steven Pasquale, Dulé Hill, Laverne Cox, Elliot Gould, and Dreama Walker.
Doubt premiered on February 15th to a lackluster 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.31 million viewers — very low numbers for a CBS show. The series’ second episode dropped even further in the ratings, bringing in a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.03 million viewers.
CBS initially ordered 13 episodes of Doubt, which were all reportedly filmed. It remains uncertain when the remaining episodes will air, if they ever will.

I completely agree with these comments, especially the ones about Cox and Hill. And it’s maybe the best role I’ve seen for the beautiful Heigl. Finally. Please bring it back! It took us a few episodes to get into it! That’s all that happened. I thought “meh, another legal drama”. But not so!
They showed two episodes, having given almost no promotion, then they did not tell anyone they were airing the rest. It was very good, and the cast was excellent, not to mention the trans story line, which was wonderful. Laverne Cox was not sidelined; she was a main character, and like all real humans, her sexuality, orientation, and specifics, were merely a party of her – she was fully “drawn.” I hope Hulu or some other service picks it up. And who can ever get enough of Dule Hill?

It’s A engaging, well written, ground breaking, TV drama that doesn’t shy away from the WHAT IFS, AND STILL FIND A WAY TO MAKE U SMILE.

I agree. It’s the best show on TV in a long time. I haven’t been so interested in a legal drama since “The Good Wife.” Please CBS, don’t cancel. The reason the show had low ratings was because nobody knew it was on. Since you have shown it on Saturday evenings, fans are hooked. I keep looking for the next show and now I’m extremely disappointed because all I find is football. Please CBS, bring it back. It will be a definite hit!!! Just advertise it more this time!!!

Doubt is a good show. Every cast member is excellent. The story line really good. The story is not over. Now I’m left wondering what happens next. I await season 2. Cancelling this show is a mystery to me. Kinda makes me reconsider watching any network television.
This show absolutely has to continue. I await season 2. The initial cancellation was a terrible mistake anyway.

I began watching Doubt this summer and the first episode intrigued me to continue watching. But I am saddened to find out this show has been canceled. I don’t think you gave the show the proper time/ day slot that would work to keep it on air. The cast are like puzzles pieces that fit together each with different personalities. I hope you would reconsider your decision.
CBS needs to rethink how and why they cancel shows. 2 episodes was not long enough and airing the rest on Saturday night with no promos is wrong.

I think it was absolutely rediculas to cancel this show after 2 episode. People and networks even more.. need to rremember Scandal first season was almost canceled then it took off to become the hottest show.. Heigl will make this show work… To cancel this show after 2 episodes was a slap in face to every and the stars for trusting the network to give this show fair run.. I think this show is great the plot is good.. IIt’sfast pace and ccouldnt wait to see how Heigl was goingto progress… Give it a chance
