It looks like Syfy is no longer safe for fans of Haven. The cable channel has cancelled the TV show after five seasons. The remaining 13 episodes of season five will begin airing on October 8th.
On Haven, FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) and Officer Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) investigate strange occurrences in the small town of Haven, Maine. Others in the cast include Emma Lahana, Eric Balfour, Richard Donat, John Dunsworth, and Adam Copeland.
Last year, the series was renewed for a super-sized fifth season of 26 episodes — double the usual size. This kind of renewal often foreshadows series coming to an end and sometimes allows a studio to produce more episodes without having to renegotiate actor contracts for an additional season.
The 13 episodes of season five which have already aired have averaged a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 860,000 viewers. That’s down by 41-52% when compared to the ratings from season four.

Maybe they’ll have to do what Farscape did and use a movie to close the story arc that were not allowed to do in a final season.

The networks are always canceling shows that people are really into just to put on more reality based shows. We just started watching Haven and we like it. It sucks to find out they have canceled the show.

it had a great ending-bit like a loop so now I’m going to watch the box sets from the start as I think the ending was like the way they met on the first episode

I think that a season 6 should be shown and syfy shouldn’t have canceled it. If Haven were shown on any other channel, I’ll continue to watch it.

Syfy has done it again. The idiots that be have cancelled yet another good show. Don’t look now Syfy but you really don’t have anything left to draw the viewers back. We certainly don’t tune in for the wrestling…what does wrestling even have to do with sci-fi? How about those grade B sci-fi movies? My husband and I don’t have many shows that we watch together. Haven is such a good show and one that we enjoy together. I was very upset to hear that it’s being cancelled. I subscribe to netflix and would watch it there if it means that it could continue! Someone needs to get it renewed! I agree that it seems like all the good shows end up cancelled.
You are correct. Great show. I don’t watch many shows completely, but this is one….It is simple to follow and not alot of computer generated stuff.
This story could go on for years…I was hoping the Troubles would escape HAVEN and go all over the world and Nathan and Audrey and maybe DUKE and the brothers would have to travel to stop the troubles…would be interesting…More interesting would be troubles would only effect small towns…
My son found this show on Netflix and me and my husband started watching it on there also. Maybe Netflix will pick it up and continue with the show after Sci-fi is done with it. My husband normally does not watch stuff like this but he is watching it with me and likes this show.
