It looks like Syfy is no longer safe for fans of Haven. The cable channel has cancelled the TV show after five seasons. The remaining 13 episodes of season five will begin airing on October 8th.
On Haven, FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) and Officer Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) investigate strange occurrences in the small town of Haven, Maine. Others in the cast include Emma Lahana, Eric Balfour, Richard Donat, John Dunsworth, and Adam Copeland.
Last year, the series was renewed for a super-sized fifth season of 26 episodes — double the usual size. This kind of renewal often foreshadows series coming to an end and sometimes allows a studio to produce more episodes without having to renegotiate actor contracts for an additional season.
The 13 episodes of season five which have already aired have averaged a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 860,000 viewers. That’s down by 41-52% when compared to the ratings from season four.

Great show I liked the ending, but unfortunately I got hooked and couldn’t stop watching more and more so I hope the make more seasons….

I really love the show HAVEN. It’s unique! There are many SYFY shows and movies out there, which I like to watch, and I’m 63! However, this is just a little different, and I look forward to seeing each and every show. Maybe you could end the Audrey going away away and coming back as someone else stuff, and come up with a new puzzle, along with your normal, everyday troubled people… it could get some people more interested! Haven was a great show right up to the point where you started messing with the main characters, that when I lost interest in it. Many of great shows have failed for the same reason. And Syfy is the worst when it comes to killing shows. They mess with what makes the show watchable, which is the main characters. Instead of creating new characters to Villainize, you attack the main nucleus of the show, such as Audrey and duke. watched the season 5 final-final episode in the uk last night been showing 5 episodes a week-.only started watching about mid season 3- AND it just gew on me-sad to see it finish A BIG WELL DONE AND THANK YOU TO THE CAST AND PEOPLE CONNECTED-on the strength of the series started buying the box sets just got season 5 to get and ill have my fix to watch what ive missed and rewatch through to the end, THANK YOU.
Netflix introduced me to this great show. Excellent casting and plots. Watched all 65 episodes and waiting for the final 1/2 of the last season to be available on Netflix! This was a great show, too bad viewers like me discover this too late to keep the ratings up, and the series gets cancelled. Seen this happen far too often to shows like Warehouse 13, Eureka, etc. Hopefully the writers will see value in doing a movie or follow-up episode of these shows, as a sequel or closure episode would be wonderful.
Haven had a proper ending as part of its run.
I first started watching Haven on NetFlix. Now I can’t get enough of it! I would love to see the show continue for a 6th season, maybe even a 7th season. I’ve only watched through the middle of season 3, but it is such an intriguing show, It’s hard to stop watching.
I am so disappointed that Haven is being cancelled. I have watched since the beginning. It is now showing at 4:00 a.m. and I have to DVR it in order to see it. They may have lost viewership due to having it air on such a weird schedule. If anyone knows where to write and complain to the network, I’m in.
Yes, please bring back Haven! Best show on television! I would watch it no matter what channel. I am very disappointed in SyFy channel!
