Here are the details:

VH1 KICKS OFF THE SUMMER WITH A HOT NEW SCRIPTED SHOW FOLLOWED BY THE RETURN OF SEVERAL FAN FAVORITES

VH1’s Hotly Anticipated New Scripted Series “Hit The Floor” Set to Premiere Monday, May 27

“Tough Love: CoEd,” “VH1 Couples Therapy,” “Hollywood Exes,” “Stevie TV,” And The “2013 VH1 Do Something Awards” Round Out the Summer Schedule

NEW YORK, NY, (May 9, 2013) – VH1’s summer slate is bringing the heat. Leading the charge is the new scripted series “Hit The Floor,” a drama about the steamier side of professional basketball. Returning this summer are three shows about love and relationships: “Tough Love: CoEd,” “VH1 Couples Therapy,” and “Hollywood Exes.” The network is also bringing back the irreverent sketch comedy show, “Stevie TV,” which puts celebrity and pop-culture squarely in its cross-hairs along with the altruistic “2013 VH1 Do Something Awards.”

PREMIERES

“HIT THE FLOOR” PREMIERES MONDAY, MAY 27 AT 9PM*

“Hit The Floor” explores the sexy world of professional basketball and the dancers who make the fans (and players) go wild. The Los Angeles Devils are the number one team in the league. When the arena lights go on, all of Hollywood comes out to support the million dollar players. But in this city these men share the fame, adrenalin, money, sex and power with their dancers, the Devil Girls. At the heart of “Hit The Floor” is Ahsha (Taylour Paige), a sheltered young woman who joins the team against the wishes of her mother Sloane (Kimberly Elise), who knows this treacherous, tempting world all too well having been a Devil Girl herself. Olivia (Charlotte Ross) is the shrewd squad manager, Jelena (Logan Browning) is the ruthless, star captain who won’t let anyone else share the spotlight and Pete Davenport (Dean Cain) is the former All-Star who’s come back to coach his old team only to have to contend with the girls both stealing the spotlight and distracting his players. All the while, the mystery surrounding the disappearance of missing Devil Girls dancer Mia threatens to blow the roof off the entire L.A. Devils organization. “Hit the Floor,” premieres Monday, May 27 at 9pm with 10 1-hour episodes.

“Hit the Floor,” (previously known as “Bounce”) was created by James LaRosa who also serves as Executive Producer of the series along with Maggie Malina and Bryan Johnson. VH1’s executives Jill Holmes and Jeff Olde are Executive Producers on the project. The pilot episode was written by James LaRosa and directed by Sanaa Hamri.

RETURNING SERIES:

“Tough Love: CoEd” – Premieres August 2013

VH1’s match-making expert Steve Ward tackles his biggest challenge yet in the sixth season of “Tough Love: CoEd.” For the first time ever, Steve’s no-nonsense boot camp features four women and four men whose reckless dating habits have left them hopelessly single. Drama will unfold when all eight cast members live under one roof as they search for love and resist temptation. The co-eds are in for a dose of reality when Steve enlists the help of his sister Monica Ward to offer her female perspective on relationships. Together, the Wards will lay down their essential rules for dating and put these love soldiers to the test in a series of difficult weekly challenges. Jealousy, rivalries, and romantic twists are sure to follow when “Tough Love: CoEd” Season 6 premieres in August 2013 with 8 1-hour episodes.

“Tough Love: CoEd” is executive produced by Jim Berger for High Noon Entertainment and Nancy Juvonen, Drew Barrymore, Ember Truesdell and Chris Miller for Flower Films. Steve Ward, JoAnn Ward, Richard Hall and Elizabeth Grizzle Voorhees also serve as executive producers for the series. Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly and Laurel Stier are executive producers for VH1.

“VH1 Couples Therapy” – Premieres Wednesday, June 19 @ 10pm*

From the producers of “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,” “VH1 Couples Therapy” is the first reality show to examine first-hand the real life experiences of a group of buzzed-about couples. For some of these couples, living under constant scrutiny from the media and fans makes it increasingly hard for them to stay together and VH1 wants to see why they can’t seem to go the distance. These five couples, at a crossroads in their relationships, will join together for over 2 weeks as they undergo intensive relationship therapy. Under the guidance of Dr. Jenn Berman, a nationally renowned relationship therapist, the couples will participate in group and individual therapy along with relationship exercises out in the “real world” to see if they can rekindle the love they used to have for one another — or if it’s simply time for them to move on. Season 3 couples include: Joe Francis & Abby Wilson, Flavor Flav & Elizabeth Trujillo, Chingy & Temple Poteat, Dustin Zito & Heather Marter and Caitlin Lowell & Tyler Baltierra will all take a seat on Dr. Jenn Berman’s couch. “VH1 Couples Therapy” is set to premiere Wednesday, June 19 at 10pm* with 8, 1-hour episodes.

“VH1 Couples Therapy” is produced by Irwin Entertainment. Executive producing for Irwin Entertainment are John Irwin, Damian Sullivan, Joel Rodgers and Rob Buchta. Jill Holmes, Tom Huffman and Jeff Olde serve as Executive Producers for VH1.

“Hollywood Exes” – Premieres July 2013

VH1’s hit “Hollywood Exes” returns for a second season with more laughter, tears, drama and a new Hollywood ex joining the real First Wives club. Back for another season are Nicole Murphy, ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, Jessica Conseco, ex-wife of Jose Canseco, Mayte Garcia, ex-wife of Prince, Sheree Fletcher, ex-wife of Will Smith, and Andrea (Drea) Kelly, ex-wife of R. Kelly. Shamicka Lawrence, recently divorced from comedian/actor Martin Lawrence, joins the group, becoming the newest member of this unique sisterhood. However, all is not golden with the exes when we pick up with the girls. Drea, who has been spending her time between Chicago and Los Angeles, is not happy with Jessica for some choice words she shared with Drea on Twitter. After returning to L.A., she and Jessica will finally have it out, resulting in one of the most explosive – and honest – confrontations in the show’s history. Meanwhile, Jessica struggles with being the single mom of a rebellious teenager – Josie has been acting out and her grades are slipping. Mayte, who has been desperate to have a child, makes plans to adopt a one-year-old baby. The others worry that everything is happening too fast – what if something goes wrong and Mayte loses another child? Finally, Shamicka’s wounds from her divorce are still fresh – her divorce from Martin Lawrence was just recently finalized. Every day brings new challenges that only a Hollywood Ex can understand, but thankfully the others are there to help her find her way. “Hollywood Exes” premieres in July 2013 with 13 1-hour episodes.

“Hollywood Exes” is executive produced by Pam Healey, Nick Emmerson and Lisa Shannon for Shed Media. Leah Harriton and Lamar Damon are co-executive producers for Shed Media. Vernon Lynch and Jeff Dyson for Lynch-Dyson Entertainment also serve as executive producers. Nicole Murphy is executive producer. Jill Holmes, Tom Huffman and Jeff Olde are executive producers for VH1.

“Stevie TV” Season 2 Premieres Friday, May 31 at 10PM
